where they are run properly they normally do 7.5 qtrs, fast but not much problem for a good drag car

but then again they can go around corners wink
I think once Jonnny Herbert ran a 7 sec 1/4 in Japan, although no timing ticket was shown. Those were the days of traction control.
I saw an F1 at the pod once,i think Mark Blundell's old car. Ran a blistering 10sec 1/4.
and it takes 100+ people making minute adjustments for every degree C of temp change and 100s of millions of squid

and your knocked up in a shed car for £400 and a box of rothmans would flannel it biggrinbow
Let's not forget that F1 Stig set the world indoor land speed record in an old F1 car only for it to be beaten by a bloke with a CBR powered Blitz Buggy.

I don't know Kev. Air temp was about 10c with lots of water in the air. Track temp at a guess would have been about the same, or maybe a bit more.We have a laser temp gun for the track but it was broken for this meeting. I'll see if anyone has some data from the Sunday.
A shirt went out to you today btw.. Give it a week or two to get there.

If I am ever visitings the UK (not been back for the last 3 years) I will have to try and drop round and see the car no matter where it is.

OK cold damp and basically crap, so a lot of improvements still to come.

There will apparently be a quick Nissan in the uk soon as a local guy who ran 6.99 with his RB30 powered dragster has sold it up your way for a street car!

Not sure if our fastest street car in NZ will be going much quicker next season though (Reece fish with the twin turbo efi 540 in a 56 chev) as he has just bought a 4 sec fuel rail into the country which on our tracks should run a mid/low 5 @ 280 or so, I would expect the street car will take a back seat now :-(
