05-03-2010 Sorry for the lack of updates. Mundane filler work isn't very photogenic... Anyhoo, the body is almost ready for primer now. Just the bonnet is left to finish. It looks better in one colour that's for sure.. Bumpers are all moulded in nicely along with the grille. There's a few hours work to get to this stage..

13-03-2010 Well,it's finally left G and D on the back of Scottie's truck. Amazingly only 1 crack appeared by the top of the door.Nothing major though... Awesome job by Geoff and Deano.. Here it is at DRE glassfibre. It's probably the first time it's seen sunshine..lol Dale is Europe's best in glass and carbon panel making, and should be sending me photos of the moulds and panels. I like the look of it now. When it's done it should be quite cool i think..

21-03-2010 Good news. We have a mould of the bonnet! Dale is starting the smaller panels first so they can be going off whilst the big bits get done..

27-03-2010 A very uninspiring pic of the front half of the door moulds. What it does mean is that things are moving on in the right direction.. The window frame is at the bottom..

18-04-2010 Obviously we're not going very fast with the body side at present. Dale has been abroad so progress is slow at the minute. He is now back again and carrying on. There's lots of other things going on with the rest of the car which i'll hopefully have pics for later this week. The 2 pics are the start of the main body and front end mould. It's all done in bolted together sections so when the mould is done you can unbolt the sections and leave the body intact. The plan is the body to be finished by middle of May. Then it's off to Webster race engineering to become a real car again.

25-04-2010 Now we're moving on! Front end mould is done and the body mould will be finished by early next week.. With the grille/bumper all moulded in. The mould is all bolted together so the panels come out easily. I spent a few hours grinding, filling with chemical metal, reshaping and painting the original 3.3 litre badge that sits in the middle of the rear panel into an 8.8 litre one. It's not perfect but it'll do the job. It's all in the details.

And that brings us up to date! As I said at the start of the thread, "I" in this context is Andy ( redvictor) as I'm just populating the thread from another forum at the moment, but, now that we're up to date, I'm sure Andy will keep the thread alive and post as himself.. I'll be around to answer questions and generally post excited things are we get closer to completing the build! Hope you enjoy the thread, and feel free to ask any questions.. Cheers slinky

Just quickly is this actually anything to do with the original red victor i.e relation or something? It's the next iteration of the Red Victor lineage, the old car was chassis limited due to MSA/FIA regulations, so the bullet was bitten and the new car build started.. It will carry over the core image of the car, but move it to a new level..

This is the third major upgrade hence the RV3 tag. RV1 and RV2 are the same car, just upgraded.RV3 is the same car as the other 2,just massively upgraded.

Wow, keep up the good work, will it always be based on the victor? Also still road legal?
