Wow - have been watching this build with interest, and always expected a pretty fast car at the end of it, but 200mph+
Good luck mate - I'll be reading every update!
Thanks dude!Good luck mate - I'll be reading every update!
I dont know if i'll hit 200mph but i'll give it a wee try.
Be something if a Standard looking ATR hit 200mph lol.

I love that every time you update this you have an even dafter idea. I dont know if i'll hit 200mph but i'll give it a wee try.

Crack on, attempting to get close to 200mph in a standard looking ATR is a great plan.
I have seen 152 in a standard ATR on the limiter and they are pretty stable, good effort with the mods, what sort of expenditure are you looking at to create something like that.
I know a few people on accordr.org have failed with turboing the ATR so well done, its good to see it looking so close to stock!

That would be about right. I had an indicated 146 out of the old man's company car a few years ago, and it only had 4/500rpm left to go.How long did it take to get there, the acceleration seems to tail off massively at 140. I seem to remember 140 was quite easy, there to 146 took a a bit of time.

Yeah mine at 173mph was very very stable, i came of the power carefuly but it was fine and onto the massive brakes to stop before i ran out of land. It didnt even twitch. So the suspension setup is really doing its job. It felt alot more stable than my EVO 9 did at a GPS 174mph.I know a few people on accordr.org have failed with turboing the ATR so well done, its good to see it looking so close to stock!
Ive done most of it myself so nowhere near what a tuner would charge to build something like this.

However im Turbo'ing another Accord Type R at the mo, but its my cousins and we are only running a mild 280hp on standard engine, will be a really driveable car. And also doing an EG6 Civic with a EK9 forged engine

That is the sort of power I reckon that the ATR would handle nicely without being to undrivable, are you leaving the internals stock?
My rolled over 167k miles today and is still going strong.
We took out the ATR engine and put in a H22A engine, still a 2.2 but lower compression and you can get one with about 50,000 miles on the clock for £400. Used the ATR inlet camshaft and left the H22A exhaust cam in, adjustable cam gears so hoping to get the turbo spool up at around 1800-2000rpm, and hold boost to the standard rev limit. Lower VTEC abit of course. My rolled over 167k miles today and is still going strong.
Internals are staying stock for now as my cousin is on a budget, so setting up around 5psi. Everything else is ready for 380hp, so when he does decide to change the rods and pistons we do that then turn up the boost.
But with 280 it will be spot on with very little lag, vtec and be a quicker car
Honda's go on forever
Update on mine:
The AEM ignition module gave up So the AA took the car back to Eurospec to get a replacement. Whist its there, ive asked them to do the few bits i was going to do, i know lazy but common its cold outside!!
Also ive asked them to fit an Inline Walbro fuel pump aswel, im hoping this gives me the flow to get around 1.5bar, which could be anywhere from 550 - 600hp.
See how it goes......time to get some sticker tyres!! lol.

Well i hope you all didnt think i was finished there. Ive been abit lazy with ordering parts etc but the following has been done:
New Sump and Gasket
Rear Arms has been fitted
New AEM CD2I Ignition Module
New Alternator Belt
Walbro 250 Inline Fuel Pump Hardwired
Silicone 90 bend of Turbo
HKS Mushroom Filter
Remove all heatwrap, check over downpipe/manifold/screamer pipes. Re-heatwrap with better quality wrap for serious heat.
Anyways the car is currently at 505hp.
Hoping for more power over the forth coming week

Haha Awesome, your a mad man.
Love the fact that you hit 175 with your last spec, with 4 people in the car.
"Off da clock"! :P
Amazing...
Gearing for 200 and vmax planned aswell!

Hopefully a F22 box will do the trick, will have to test it on the dyno, but they can be had cheap so worth ago
