Yeah bit st, the police didn't even come around and take prints or footprints (which we had clear impressions of, we even had fingerprints in the dust on a shogun that was washed before it was parked in there that were perfect), waste of time.

Anyway, the good news is the power finally got put in earlier this week, so we can now turn the lights on and see which part of our thumbs we've just hit with the hammer.

Another attempted break in (well, they got into a shed and took some odds and sods, but not the workshop this time, although damaged the doors) - and another crime number and no-show from the police. Yay!

Going well this isn't it?

Wire up the doors of the place with mains electricity.

If the theving bds try it again, they'll be in for a shockingly bad time hehe

This would do it. Got one at home. Not given away, but effective.

Much cheaper: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Wireless-WIFI-Internet-I...

Yeah, the doors are all reinforced from behind now, anything short of a ram raid should struggle - and even then they might get a shock when they find the bits with offcuts of T45 tube welded on....biggrin....but it definately needs some camera's up now.

Whatever you do, get something that can get a face/number plate at reasonable distance and in the dark. A friend of mine works for the police in CCTV and says that the amount of cruddy footage they get is unreal. Bad footage is probably worse than no footage!

Good footage is no good if they still can't be arsed to turn up! biggrin

Alarm system should be up and running shortly too so hopefully we're sorted.

This is one of the best threads here, its up there with Marks Fiesta and Andys GTT and Noble. Amazing.

A question for you, do you CAD model all the parts you make, or only some of them?

Precision engineering using a lumphammer yeah? hehe

I'll have to get to one of these rounds next year when this is up and running to have a look at it.

So that's why it all looks so st! laugh

Why aren't you making millions being clever? It seems like you know a hell of a lot of stuff, or at least give off that impression! There must be engineering firms after people like you?

Hehe, we tend to operate under the catch-all of "It's for R&D purposes, trained personell only"!!!

Now there's an idea, anyone recruit for 'R&D' departments? biggrin

Anyway, I'm sure there's a special place reserved in a corner of hell for people whom, on receipt of their shiny new Penske parts, immediately strip them down and fire up the pillar drill, but hey, at least I'll be warm...
