Oh, I forgot this years must-have-accessory!
Colour-coded brake pads, worth at least 10bhp
I thought the wheels weren't on the ground often enough for brakes to have much effect. biggrin

Thanks! Will do. That'd be great! I'd also love to get my XC90 round the course (slowly) but I imagine it's fairly restricted by all the motorsport regs. That's one of the problems living in Sussex - there's not much open land to play on.
Appreciate the offer thumbup
Volunteer to marshal, you can drive around then biggrin

Who is CoC and chief marshal? There’s very little info on the awdc site.

It’s years since I’ve been out on a safari and I live very close. I’m a licensed MSA radio op too.

Might have to hold fire on that one, MoD is making some noise about using the site on the same date now.

Yes, the site is cancelled unfortunately, MOD need it for training.

They're looking at another place nearby though, I'll update when I find out.

I'd love to get back in to one of those again. It looks like a rough stage rally rather than the more off-road stuff I remember from the NORC events we used to do.

The last NORC even was so rough I know one guy just put his car back on the trailer and went home halfway through the day biggrin

The AWDC event has had to move to Tiverton instead of Bagshot.

Thanks for the update - That's a wee bit too far to 'pop in for a look' though.

Slow updates with it being silly season for farming, so nothing really new picture wise, just been working on refining the mapping after switching over from alpha-n with compensation, to map based with throttle compensations as we were struggling with throttle response (inlet tract is longer than I'd like) - and investigating a few sensor errors on the crank/cam sensors - work on masking the windows helped out but I suspect we might have a duff cam sensor, so awaiting a replacement unit.

Dash back out to tidy/clip up all the connectors and drill holes for the dash control button and launch control dial too, which means I've got to make connectors for all the switches now everything is working, so they can be unplugged easily rather than having 4-7 pins per switch to keep track of.

Just need to swap the mockup shafts back over after building the real ones up properly (well, one side is on, the other side'll get done this weekend) and bleed the hydraulics and she should move under her own steam again.

And sort that oil weep you can see in the video mad

Congrats - that sounds quieter and smoother than I'd have expected!
