The flags were only there for the photo, just before Drive It Day.
Drive it day? scratchchin
Yeah, it was St. Georges Day and on the run I went to most people turned up with flags.
I seriously hope you weren't the driver.

He seems to be an eminently sensible chap, I can't imagine he'd have been driving with no insurance/licence etc.

Kids like him go a long way to restoring my faith in youngsters these days.

Spot on, what an absolute bargain!

I think you'll fit in well here.

You should try and find a disused air field or somewhere off the road and away from other cars so you can have a drive (under the supervision of a parent)

We live on the site of a school for autistic kids where my mum works outside the gates to the main school building though so sometimes after 8pm when there is no kids around she lets me take the Jag down our close or round the school.

Sorry to be really boring, but you probably shouldn't do that - if you drive anywhere that could be considered to be a public place then both you and your Mum will be in a lot of trouble. If you're on school property then she could lose her job.

It is a private school and I only drove round there once and there is no cars parked there in the evening.

Excellent work young man.

I suppose games consoles cost more than this nowadays.

They do, but then a 12 year old is allowed to use an Xbox.

Top work there kiddo. Makes me think my BMX when I was 12 was a bit crap.

I remember 1998 like yesterday. To think you popped out then and are now restoring cars gives me faith in my kids. I'm going to teach them the same when they're your age.

It's a very grey area - Supermarket car parks are private places but the Road Traffic Act still applies.

As others have said unless you actually own the land I wouldn't recommend driving around. You might not be doing any harm but all it takes is one busybody to call the police! it'd be a shame to Temporary end your driving career before it has offically started!

It's worse that that - when you get your first licence it will come complete with a no insurance conviction and points.

Unfortunatly this is the case. However I'm sure someone will be able to suggest a place where you can drive it?
On the plus side welcome to PH, are you sure you're only 12? Your grammar & spelling seems too good. Thanks for not txt sng smile
