What are part cost like?
I own a Fiesta ST so not the cheapest car in the world to run but still very reasonable and most bits come out of the normal ford part bin. The RS was specially developed in a lot of areas so im wondering how that transfers across in costs.
Some of the parts can be expensive although quite a bit is standerd Focus stuff. A lot of parts are now available outside the Ford network now so not so much of a problem the Rs owners club is a great place to find them I own a Fiesta ST so not the cheapest car in the world to run but still very reasonable and most bits come out of the normal ford part bin. Mine has been reliable & tbh the higher mileage ones seem to be better as like most cars they are built to be used not left in a garage for most of its life.
Nice one Neil. I had 5 fantastic years in my one and would have kept it if I had room for it alongside my new car.
Regarding running costs, as long as you don't get hooked on the modifying then they can be pretty cheap to run. I unfortunately got hooked and ended up spending over £10k on mods, servicing and consumables over the 5 years..
Here's mine fresh from Germany:
And after being ceramic coated to prevent any thermal events from occuring..

Now it's possible that those manifolds came from the pair of RS's that ran for a couple of years in the German VLN race series. they were unofficially supported by Ford germany, so it's possible they ranoff a series of "motorsport" manifolds for those cars???
I had one of the so called motorsport manifolds on my car. You could certainly tell the difference between it and the crappy standard cast item, especially the increase in torque. Here's mine fresh from Germany:

Am lucky as all my mods have been carried out by me so have saved a fortune on labour need to do some minor tweaking then should be around 320-330 bhp Regarding running costs, as long as you don't get hooked on the modifying then they can be pretty cheap to run.
