Focus Rs no 2376
Discussion
Well was rolling roaded yesterday results were 307 bhp with 310 lb of torque, lower than expected but its only running 17psi of boost so at 22-24psi it should be well over 320bhp
Good news is fuelings good & has a much smoother power / torque curve it hits peak power at 5300rpm which then flatlines to the limiter which i put down to the manifold flowing better
So installing aftermarket boost gauge that will read accuratly (standard in dash one is useless!) at the weekend then I will turn it up!

Any idea whats let go??
(i had the dubious pleasure to explode a clutch on an RS at Nardo, and paid the price, as without a gearbox hoist immediately to hand, and being a lanky kit, the techie's got me to hold it up instead (try holding an RS transmission above your head for more than 1 min! lol)

Its internal as the selector cacles are intact i think its either the selector fork has broken or whatever holds it in place which i assume is a roll pin of some sort will update when ive pulled it apart (i had the dubious pleasure to explode a clutch on an RS at Nardo, and paid the price, as without a gearbox hoist immediately to hand, and being a lanky kit, the techie's got me to hold it up instead (try holding an RS transmission above your head for more than 1 min! lol)
Well it was the selector roll pin had sheared into 3 pieces now all fixed for the grand sum of £0

Its amazing just how much more power you need to improve the speed over the mile i have @ 40bhp tham last time i ran but only got 4 mph quicker.
Thought it was about time i updated the thread
Had a few issues with the car the last couple of months although im still smiling when i drive it!!
First had an idling fault which was quickly rectified with a new idle control valve.
Then had a problem with my gears i lost 2nd 4th & reverse which certainly made parking a challange one of the gear selector cables had broken but with the new ones fitted (they come as a pair) i cant believe how much nicer the gear change is
Also treated her to a new set of Michelin pilot sport 3 tyres & i cannot recommend them enough the car now has so much more grip in both wet & dry on the Dunlops it would easily spin the wheels in forth but now i can get grip in 3rd!!
Still havent had the chance to put it on the rollers since the boost upgrade but it looks like i have come to the point where the rear section of exhaust has become restrictive so looks like that will be my next purchase.
