Bought this yesterday, and have spent most of today hooning (well, getting used to it :P)

It is a Fisher Fury Spyder, 450kg and 160hp Yamaha R1 5PW engine with power commander on paddle shift. 300bhp/ton with my fat arse sat in it and fuel.

Handles absolutely fantastic and the performance is awesome. It has bundles of pull all the way through the rev range, R1 engine is a gem and sounds awesome.

Anyway here's some pics smile

I want one of these for a track day car.
Very nice sir.

Does it have a reverse gear?

Nope! I just push it out of the garage and go driving!

Can fit either a quaife reverse box inline in the prop, or an electric one. But it's all extra weight and in the quaife box there's more losses through the drivetrain too. You really don't need the reverse.

That looks brilliant. How does it compare to the GTM?

I thought reverse was needed for a car to be road legal? (I'm probably wrong!)

More details/video please!

Much more savage, but much more balanced. You can use the performance. Obviously it's not as practical but that's not what I've bought it for!

Going to buy a dogcam bullet camera soon methinks, or a gopro. Then I'll get some vids....if it doesn't start to snow soon! Well it wasn't a requirement 3 years ago, don't think it is now either but I may be wrong. To be honest it's not a shopping or commuting car, just a bit of forward thinking and the reverse shouldn't be an issue.

That is fantastic! got a real soft spot for superbike engined cars, having owned a sports bike I don't think you can get a more fun and responsive power delivery.

It's absolutley mental, it's geared for about 130mph so the gears are really close. Just a constant surge of power. It has plenty of pull low down too though which is impressive and I love the fact you can actually use 1st gear unlike in a normal car...it'll do 60 in 1st.

Wasn't for SVA test pre 2009 but is now required for IVA test. No need to retro fit though as the tests are only carried out once at time of first build.

I was going to ask how you do a three point turn, but then realised full lock with a 12K clutch dump solves that issue.

The turning circle is remarkably good!

Lovely.

If you don't mind me asking, how much is the insurance (roughly)?

It's just got the outside temp an the temp under the bonnet, actually quite useful as the tyres don't like the cold. The dash does everything for the motor though, revs, speed, gear, shift lights, oil/water temp, oil pressure, lights etc. Great bit of kit.

Couldn't you rig up a starter motor with a small gear fitted to the prop for reverse?
