Lovely CRX. I seem to recognise the number plate. It looks very much like my friend James' old one from Lincoln, is it? If so I can vouch for how well it handles

It is indeed James' old one, he really knows his stuff!
Thanks for the kind words, makes me extremely happy to have decided to keep it!

Yup, keep it Sam.
CRX values ain't gonna plummet any time soon, if at all - so financially, it's a relatively sound decision.
Unless the car turns into a money-pit....

I changed mine for a Clio 172 cup 3 years ago, fortunately the clio was a good one,and i never had problems, the Cr-x is more raw and a lot rarer,it will become even rarer i suspect and as you say has that little racing car feel.
Do whatever you like mate, which suits to you more.

One year on, still awesome, still makes me laugh wildly on B Roads and still makes the best sound at 6K RPM+ Goes in for its MOT tonight, to be tested tomorrow, fingers crossed! Plans are beginning to come together as I start my proper job in September, so it will either be a supercharged S2000 or something similar, or making this go faster (in a straight line and round corners).

I still love this, makes me moist. Does it have a reletively full/original interior? Quite possibly the only car i'd sell my MX5 for. (wink-wink, nudge-nudge)

Full interior bar the rear seats, the front has the 2 Brides and harnesses, other that it feels pretty normal. Still stupidly loud at anything over 40 though, much to the missus's annoyance.

Starting to work out the next stage for this, thinking either a B20 or B18. Either that or getting a supercharged S2000...

Why not supercharge the B16?

Price, availability and from what I gather the B16 isn't a great engine to supercharge.

Fair dos Young lad at the garage who used to do alot of work on my Charade Turbo had an EG6 VTi, he put fitted out a B20 bottom end with 11:1 pistons and mated it to a B16 head with Integra cams all running on a Hondata. Also put in an ITR box at the same time. Made just over 200hp and 90% of it's torque at 2000rpm, best VTEC engagement point was found to be 3500rpm It was as quick as my MR2 which had around 260hp at the time.

It looked much better with the decals on, they really finish the car off. Lovely cars these CRXs, it's a shame Honda didn't do a Type R, they'd have sold like hot cakes.

Lovely!
There used to be a Red one parked in Eastbourne years ago that every day I would walk out of my way to sneek a peek.
