Mr S10 GTA. Your named as Si. Wouldnt be Si who once owned a red civic saloon would it be? Trying to think of who I knew in the citroen clan back in the old days when Kitch used to be an aquantance

No, that's Si who went down under. He was a friend of Itchy. I'm the Si that used to own the green xantia activa with black multispokes.

I ended up putting a tweed interior in my BX 14e, the rear central armrest took the interior to a new level of comfort. Good story.

I went and visited The Estate last weekend. It is now a genuine barn find...

Great stuff - I remember when this thread was first posted.

I know how you feel - I have really bonded with my Volvo, like it's an old dog or an old pair of boots.

Nice post! Gotta love those quirky French cars. My father-in-law had a BX in the early 90s, quite comfortable as to be expected and only issue I can recall is the silencer falling off. Unlike the 2 Xantia's he owned afterwards...
I never realized there were 4x4 versions of the BX to? Just checkecd and found a BG GTi 4x4 here in the Netherlands, only EUR4k from a specialist.... mind you, there are only 17BX's for sale!? Would love to have a 4x4 BX estate, were these ever made?

I'm sure they were, vague recollection of a GTI 4x4 estate as well.

Well it's pretty simple - we'll figure out how long it's been there and then go and film it being started. We'll take bets on how many attempts we need!

Si? What you think?

whooooo... massive want, thanks for the link! There must be some 4x4 Estates left in France... How much does one need for a family? Spacious, comfortable, handles snow, cheap(ish), quirky enough to be cool and keeps dad away from the pub... sorry for the off topic but you've ignited the old BX flame!

The Estate lived!

Think that was after a 3 year lay up in 2010. And when I say lay up, I mean we just park it up and disconnect the battery.

Great thread! A pal of mine had a white BX of some description in the late 90s and I remember it having a great ride! Very much like 80s Citroens, especially CXes but I can't help feeling that a BX would be a more reliable prospect!
