This brings back memories. I had a company H reg BX19TZD in my youth. It was just a tad embarassing to be driving around in a French plastic diseasel car at the time when my mates were driving BMW's, Audi's and Saab's.

I do remember the ski trip to Courchevel in '92 when it came time to climb to the resort. I had been whooped by friend's in their Saab all the way from Calais but as we started the climb signs advised the use of snow chains. It was snowing heavily and neither of us felt inclined to start trying to put chains on in 20cm of snow so we kept going.

Less than half way the Saab gave up the ghost; meanwhile in skinny wheeled, suspension raisng BX fashion we climbed all the way and had the tea on for our mates once they had finally worked out how to fit snow chains. Most definitely a quirky car but I couldn't fault it for its ability to get from A to B regardless of conditions.
