You HAVE to think of whether you can realistically afford to keep it and run it. If you can, I wouldn't have sold it for 5k, let alone that price.

If that is what a GTA could go for these days, I'm amazed!

Get in and start it, let it warm up, then give it a few blips of the throttle. If it makes you make an involuntary noise, keep it! Lol.

Funny you should say that. I drove it earlier cloud9

And then I went and got my replacement....

My replacement helped remind me how awesome the GTA is!

The GTA passed the MOT, with nothing more than an advisory for the two fronts.

In honor, her is a picture taken last year, when acting as a pace car, pre teledials

Nice photo, may have looked good in the current eBay listing.

Today saw the sale of my beautiful GTA. It has been collected today by its new owner, and I'm sat here close to tears. I'm totally gutted its gone.

It has been one of the hardest decision I have had to make ever.

Thankfully it has gone to another Alfa fan down Kent direction, and he has agreed to give me first refusal should he move it on again in the future. Hopefully he will stick to his word, and I can gather the funds if that time comes.

Devastated doesn't come close, but I had to look at the bigger picture, and I couldn't justify spending out to fix things when I have a child due, buying a new house etc.

cry

So so gutted its untrue frown

The only saving grace is that its not being turned into bean cans.

Gutted for you, hope you can move on and find something just as interesting. It is hard saying goodbye to a loved one.

I feel your pain man, a few years back i had to part with a 155hp sport-spec mito due to circumstances, that certainly was a hard moment.

Wanna know what i did to soften the blow? buy an alfa 33. These are getting rare now, but i suggest looking at a nice 145QV as a toy.

Sad to see it go Si, the sound was biblical.

Saying that, the XM has automatic everything and a seating setup putting land of leather to shame.

I think you will miss the A-road thrills though :/
