a few months ago i tinted the top half of the rear lights red, anyway the paint was starting to fade and look orange and i was getting a bit sick of people nearly rear ending me when i was reversing because my reverse lights were red so last night i cracked out the sand paper and the tint spray and did this so now i can see where im going now when i reverse i really need to get rid of that spoiler now :hihi

i was a bit hungover today so to take my mind off it i pulled out the rear parcel shelf cover and gave it a couple of coats of gloss black half way through and fitted back in it came out a bit pants so im going to redo it at some point in the future but its still a big improvement from the purple parcel shelf cover and i had a go at trying to fix the passenger side window when you use the one touch function the window will go up about 1/4 of the way and then come back down again but if you hold the button the window will go up but there is a creak at the point where it would normally go back down i attacked it with some copper ease which seems to have improved it but the window still does it :mad

hidden exhaust attempt no 4329874.3 :hihi the upside down DTM exhaust it is hidden pretty well and it sounds absolutly brutal but its way too damn loud, to the point where i am going to get stopped and fined so this is another temporary measure untill i can sort something else out or the police make me take it off

Things are moving a bit slowly at the moment however so for i have removed the bonnet, bumper, front wings, grill, side skirts etc etc and started tackling the rust. All that was required was a bit of treatment and a bit of hammerite to sort it, so i will let the pics do the talking Drivers side Passengers side And painted the jacking points were done as well but it was only surface rust that was present so there is a bit of a relief there And this is how she is sitting at the moment, looking sorry for herself the engine is getting pulled out and put up for sale but the relevant threads will be drawn up when the time comes

Really liking your car mate, proper euro look.
Iam thinking about putting some Style 5s on my E36 M3, do you have any trouble with the ET20 fitment?

Thanks for the comments guys, I was half expecting to get flamed by the broken suspension/stretched tyres crew or the spelling police haha Renn Sport said: Wow you really love your car. Good work fella. thanks I have always been into working with mechanical items (just whatever i could get my hands on) so moving onto cars was just a natural progression and it keeps me out of trouble Bmdub said: Really liking your car mate, proper euro look.
Iam thinking about putting some Style 5s on my E36 M3, do you have any trouble with the ET20 fitment? I do get some scrubbing with people in the back even after having my arches rolled and running 205/40 profile tyres (8" wheels all round), if you set the suspension a bit higher than what i have got it set at then you shouldnt have any worries just make sure you get the rear arches rolled PLamborghini said: That must have taken you a while to write all that! P.S. How many sets of alloys do you have? thanks ahem at the moment I have 2 sets, the 8" style 5s you see on the car and a set of 328 sport (7.5") style 5s that are in need of a refubishment, last years winter wheels but these will be getting done in due course, i've got an engine swap and some chasis work to carry out first

the loud low and slow project progress is kind of following its namesake at the moment loud - because i keep talking about it low - because im constant lying on my back underneath it slow - although im spending alot of time underneath it im not doing very much
however the 1.9 is ready to be pulled out and sold/skipped, the 2.8 is nearly ready for collection im told,oh and i have also sourced a knackered M3 diff which im going to have a crack at rebuilding, its cheap so if i balls it up then im not going to be overly annoyed about it
I have purchased a cross brace from an M3, rear rose bushes (thay have just arrived this minute, yay) and some small other bits and pieces. At some point today i am going to order some polybushes (RTABs and M3 eccentric lollypop) and (if i can catch my local main stealer) a Z3 short shift (maybe a Z3M one if it will fit)
But other than that progreess is slow, i found some more rust which will need treating but it looks like im going to have to remove the fuel tank to get at it properly, boo

i haven't been making much progress recently, well other than snapping a bolt in a captive nut and collecting parts however i did manage to get some work done the other night I recieved the M3 front brakes (the dinner plates :hihi) from RYM yesterday so like an excited child i got them fitted tonight, they were wrapped that well that it took me just as long to unwrap them than it did to fit them :hihi and i got the X-brace fitted to an extent i need to order 2 more captive nuts for the subframe and then the job is a good 'un and here come the pics the comparison (315mm vs 286mm) calipers (M3 on the left, standard on the right) fitted 2 wee jobs out of the way so far :cool

Great kittle write up chap, Really like the car and those wheels look sensational ! ...... The stance is pure evil as-well. P.s I take it the M3 brake conversion is just a bolt on job ?
