I don't like the paint job to be honest frown

Out of curiosity, as a rough percentage or something, how much lighter are the carbon panels than the originals?

Indeed this a serious project with loads on time and money invested in it by somone who knows what they re doing driving. However I would personally go with a different colour as opposed to the red but that does not imply it by no means less attractive. Thanks for sharing Andy

Looks fantastic!

Maybe red mirrors, front splitter and rear spoiler to tie it all in together a bit more?

I would certainly paint the sides black at the minimum, considering how excellent the rest of the car is, it just looks a little like a replacement panel that is yet to be painted, to the casual observer.

Kudos on actually using it as well, it looks like a lovely trip, +1 on "how's she going"

cars going well, had a silly issue with the fuel guage lieing and an exhaust bolt come loose but nothing that a spanner check before going away would have caught (didnt get a chance to do one lol), now in le mans having done 2k miles im very happy with how its behaved smile

BTW the red is temporary, I havnt decided exactly how its going to look... i have some more body panels etc to make and refine before I make the final decision... open to suggestions smile

Awesome build, how do have any time to do actual 'work' with all your projects.

My 2 pennies worth on the colour, I think it needs something to break-up/accentuate the carbon. Personally I would pay homage to the original colour and have the rear quarter blue with maybe the splitter and diffuser the same colour to tie it together.

Or, carbon tub and F40 style thin paint to allow the weave to show through.

Knowing what a standard Noble GTO-3R feels like this must be insane!

Maybe colour the recess on the door and rear wing and have the lower panel black. Then add some other bits of colours i.e. the mirrors, offset over the top stripe, etc.

Either way it may be worth considering wrapping so that it is always possible to change or to gauge how it will look before commiting to painting.

In a way, I quite like it. It looks like a prototype car, IE an M600 under a M12 shell kinda thing!

Don't like the colours, but bet it has a lot of people going 'What on earth is that?!'

Im intending to make more things and have these in a mixed weave of carbon and red cloth, front splitter, rear diffuser, canards etc etc so this will break it down in the short term.

couple more pics....

Hows about a red "viper stripe" or similar over the top, painted on the otherwise clearcoat CF front clam, roof / rear clam ??

I'm not a great "stripe" lover, but in this case it might look quite good, a bit Pagani-ish?

Out of curiousity OP, why not go the whole hog and make carbon pieces for the remaining panels?
