Just noticed the Fiesta HVAC controls in the first interior picture that stand out like a sore thumb now. Are you having custom ones made up to fit in with the new dash?

I have taken moulds of the Fiesta HVAC so i could make them in carbon.... however I bought an Alfa 4C and the controls look better in that so I purchased a second hand setup for one of these and am making this is Carbon and useing them instead... after all it means I can fit them into 2 of my car (plus daughter has one and of cause wants them in carbon as well).
For the same reason Ive also decided to use the 4C dash vents and am busy making moulds of them now
The Omega Pistons have to be made in batches and I believe they last 'batch' are all sold... saying that I have not used mine yet as they are still in the box lol
As an aside, Ive been progressing the dash along, not as quick as id like as Ive also started building a new larger garage
needs some flatting and re-lacquering, but i was happy with the shape and switchgear layout
As mentioned before I moved away from ford switchgear, i will later be making the 'knobs' in carbon.
what I was making dash parts I also made a carbon shroud for the steering wheel.
Next step was to make the centre tunnel part between the seats, i wanted a small stage hole and 2 cup holders.
The mould is actually drying today after I laid up the last coats of resin last night, should be able to pull the mould off soon and get on with tidying up the interior.

Its still got its original chassis, same overall shape, same basic suspension, steering etc etc. Even if it was, for some strange reason, forced to get assessed under the points system for "substantially rebuilt" vehicles it would likely still have enough to get the required 8 points as the original chassis alone gives you 5.
The noble doesn't run a monocoque chassis so the body is a totally separate item to the chassis and i can mod the body as much as i like.

Well like many 2020 into 2021 was challenging, for different reasons to most as one of the kids fell seriously ill during covid and stopped play for any fun.I did however manage to finish the new garage and move the Noble in last Xmas.. I turned it into a proper car nut man cave, even fitted a 4 post ramp surround sound TV system lol.
Of cause I had to have a mini display cabinet for some of the 1/18 models i have, I later managed to get a Model Noble so that is in there now.
I wasn't happy with the cast sump that I had modified, so i decided to make a billet one myself, started with a huge chunk of alloy
Finished with a dry sump pan, i fettled it further after this pic but didn't take more pictures... the pump bolts directly to the pan and the system design is my own so fingers crossed it works lol
The got side tracked and replaced the rusty ole transit van i use to haul my car parts around with a Lightning, 5.4L V8 supercharged.
Then got yet further side tracked and bought myself a track day only car
Finally I managed to get back on the Noble... and good progress has been made
Designed and made some wheel arches
Built myself a metal bench to build the engine on... then spent 3 months having new cams designed to suit the engine... something i had not planned on doing but when i assembled the heads I couldn't upgrade the valve springs without also doing the buckets and then I was in so deep i might as well have the cams as well... They had to be machined from blanks which was something i had not anticipated.

Finalised the drive shafts
Finally fitted the engine and have started writing the base map (I took all the HP Academy courses so i could learn how to make my own loom and write a base map).
Not a huge update on the noble... still side-tracked by the Clio track car.
As is pretty predictable the Clio broken the gearbox 3 times and then engine blew up at Bedford so I went out and sourced a second Clio LY R27 that was scrapped in 2014 and started a full race car build with Honda engine conversion... of cause spec cheap quickly followed and now it has a K24 with my old noble turbo bolted to it, controlled by ECUmaster and a Turbosmart electronic wastegate.
As part of the built I bought myself a TIG welder and learned to weld making my own 3inch exhaust and alloy radiator, Im far from 'good' at TIG welding yet, but its great to be able to make various alloy parts now and will come in very useful when i switch back to the noble and capri, Big thanks to GTRCLIVE for add hoc welding support from across the pond when i had issues that i was struggling to solve
One significant thing I have done on the Noble is the dash, I got a Haltech i7 for the Clio and liked it so much when I found out they had just released CAN communication for it to a Syvec I fitted it in the Noble and binned the new Dash pro2 i had fitted.
Anyhow enough typing, people always want to see pictures
Haltech dash, great thing about it is i can write multiple screens that i can select while driving
