funnily enough was looking at angel eye's today but not convinced on them, would like some different indicators, maybe the crystal clear ones, but i will send you a pm with my email for that guide thanks, is it possible to remove the orange on the rear lights, seen them with a clear strip across the top which look much better. Not really very good at this running on a shoestring business lol
One thing that's always bugged me about clear front indicators on an E36 is that they don't really match the headlamps. Smoked ones tend to match up well so that's what I personally would recommend.
You can't remove the amber from the rear lights, but if you search ebay or one of the many BMW parts companies you'll get hold of the red/clear Touring lights no problem.

update....
It was my birthday beginning of the month and my missus organised for me and my brother to go to the ring for a few days in my car. Cue lots of worry/anguish/crapping myself at the thought of.
1. taking my car all that way
2. car breaking down
3. Driving abroad
4. Driving on the track etc etc etc
I did have another thread on the above with lots of great advice so wont go into too much detail.
Before we departed (last wed night) the car was serviced, brake pads changed, alternator belt replaced and air con regassed. None of the work was essential but needed doing this year so got all done to put my mind at rest.
Well how did the old girl do??? remember this is a 155k car, Absolutly bloody amazing!!
door to door we did just over 1100 miles (ave.30mpg), cruised effortlessly at 100mph on the autobahns and brushed off the ring as if it was a trip to the shops. Everything still works, nothing packed up and at the hands of my brother, the lap we did was awesome, with the car handling/braking/sounding and accelarating like i had never seen it do before lol ( obviously i'm driving it with too much care and attention.) anyway of few pics....

small update......
with my eldest soon of to uni, money is tight but have managed a few new bits
first up some new indicators, still not really convinced
Replaced my boot floor thing with this one (needs a good clean but was only £10), added bonus came with original bmw luggage straps, my missus thinks i'm sad but i was very pleased
also while browsing the classifieds came across an advert for a touring like mine but in the listing it had all the options fitted from the factory. Set me thinking i would like to know what mine had. Cue hours wasted trying to find info from the plate, chassis number etc but to no avail. Ended up on a usa site which mentioned that from the factory the build list was sometimes stapled to the underside of the rear bench. Forgot about checking for awhile until recently when i was giving it a good clean. Low and behold there it was, proper excited by this discovery and now have a list of the options / build dates etc.
once again my missus dosent share my excitement but thought i would share on here, maybe some other nerdy type will find it interesting or i could really be sad lol

Think that might be mine In the wad of paperwork with the car was a couple of printouts with all the options added. I imagine a main dealer would be able to get you this. They're a cracking car, and I added the e46 style 44 17" wheels. Still think the best wheels for a non-M3 e36 would be staggered 17" style 32's. They were an option on both e36 and e46, and look age-appropriate for the car.

wow, the e46 rims really suit the car! They're a cracking car, and I added the e46 style 44 17" wheels. Still think the best wheels for a non-M3 e36 would be staggered 17" style 32's. They were an option on both e36 and e46, and look age-appropriate for the car.
Lovely
And I've got a spare set in the garage as my E46 has MVIIs on
update time....
Now into my second year with the beemer and still pleased with it. We aren't friends at the moment after it failed its mot in December and cost me a few hundred £££. Both sills needed welding as some bloody great holes had appeared so that was done, 1 advisory on a ball joint and still have a intermittent over- idling issue.
So the plans for this year, think i need to spend some pennies on a suspension refresh (what kinda of cost would i be looking at??), need 4 new tyres for my 17"s (was thinking Uniroyal rainsport 2/3 as a good mid-range tyre) and as i nice to have would be a set of m-tec front and rear bumpers. Have another 'ring trip planned for June so life still goes on for the old girl. Cheers

Depends how much you want to spend. I'd look at bushes first on the front wishbone and rear trailing arms. Powerflex polybushes are a great upgrade for the front wishbones and last for ever (pity about the wishbone balljoints though). They really improve steering response and turn in. If you want any sort of ride quality, stick with OEM on the rear trailing arms unless you like to feel drain covers through your arse as I found to my cost. They are great for handling giving a solid, stable rear end but they are harsher despite what they say.Now into my second year with the beemer and still pleased with it. As for springs and shocks the worlds your oyster. I put Eibach pro's (lower 25mm) and Bilstein B4's and it was a nice combination, but the Bilstein B8's (more expensive) would probably work even better as they are designed to work with shorter springs. There are loads of combinations out there including coilovers.
Apparently a thicker antiroll bar on the back from someone like Whiteline reduces the understeer that the Tourings have.
And don't forget top mounts front and rear. The rears get eaten.
Uniroyals are great tyres.
