Bit of an impulse buy this one.

Really fancied something with more seats than my MGB for next years run to Le Mans. When I saw the car on this thread, I couldn't resist. I bought the car on eBay and got the train down to London the next morning to pick it up.

The car is a 1983 BMW 735i, with a 3.5l straight six engine. Before me (and the garage), it had the same owner for 27 years. The car is solid and tight, and rust free. Someone spent £6.5K restoring the car a few years back.
It has the optional extras, electric reclining rear seats and an Limited Slip Diff. The wheels have been changed from Metric to Imperial size.
There are a couple of minor things to get sorted, firstly the windscreen washer motor switch need replacing and the intermittently working speedo needs attention too.

The car has great road presence, it's meant to be a weekend car but I seem to be using it all the time at the moment!

Very nice...a personal suggestion would be to get a 'modern' set of BMW alloys which would transform the image, maybe this would increase tyre choice...? apart from that, it seems almost perfect.

Beautiful bargeness. I think the period alloys really suit it, more modern wheels would take away from it's lovely retroness.

Absolutely not! Good condition old alloys on a car like this look perfect IMO.

These mid 90s BMW 17 inch cross spokes would look amazing on it. Not sure of the "Style" number.

Love it.

I'm surprised it doesn't have leather trim.
