Current Car
First time round I was the third owner of this car and she had 49,000 miles now I am the sixth owner and we are up at 65,000 miles. This was the fourth bmw I have ever owned and the only one I really truely missed so I jumped at the chance to buy it back with a bit of panic selling I sold and bought quickly.

Very nice.. why did you go back to the older models after owning the newer shapes?

Well I loved the e46 M3 and if this car wasn't offered back to me I would have stuck with it.
I never wanted to sell this car in the first place but due to circumstances I had to sell, so when I was offered it back it wasn't a hard decision.

If I kept the e46 it probably would have depreciated over time, where as this car due to it being only one of 50 should go up or I should at least get back what I paid for her (although I dont intend selling). Also I dont use my car daily anymore so I can afford to look after something a bit more collectable.

Was thinking the same myself — I went from E46 M3 to E36 M3 too, for track-day reasons, however on the road/as a daily, an E36 just isn't a patch on the E46. Though as you say, yours is more 'collectable' than a regular E46 M3.

Does look great Katie, but all I hear in my mind when I see one of these is "track it! track it! track it!" biggrin — have you had the opportunity to?

That's a stunning E36 - take good care of it. Looks like a nice selection of Bavaria's finest you have owned.

I have not tracked it wouldn't dare, would rather get a track slag for that lol

The e46 was awesome and I loved it and if it had not been for this car I would have kept it. Thanfully I no longer use a car daily so I just get to take it out at the weekends, if it was a daily driver I probably would be more comfortable in a modern E46.

Saying that the e46 would have depriciated over years at least this should stay relatively static

Lovely car Katie. I remember when you used to post on M3 forum a couple of years ago. (I rarely go on there anymore - used to post as "Mark_c" IIRC)

Im still rocking my e36 M3, I just cant justify getting rid of it as it still puts a smile on my face + I think they are aging really well.

Slightly off topic but I work with the couple that bought your pink Individual E36, small world.

Nice car to be in but I used to get strange looks when I was getting a lift in it!

That is stunning. Time to show dad this, he's been hankering after an E36 M3 for a while. These photos may well push him over edge.

Ah hey I still use that forum more for lurking than anything else though, being a US forum its not always to relevant to me

Awww man that was an awsome car I always regretted selling it frown one of the best cars I have owned by far!

Thanks for the comms guys, im just chuffed to have it back not going to let it go again.
With regards to the yellow lights it came on the car when I bought it back and tbh I kind like them, but its a minor change and can always be removed when I get bored of them .

Katie K - I remember you from e36coupe when you had your Pink Compact! You've had some nice cars since and that e36 is lovely!

I keep on looking at e36's still thinking how nice of an Evo you can get now for peanuts... hmmm, still beautiful cars imo.

Absolutely stunning I love these. Minor thing for me is the yellow film on the lights, looks way better clear.

Hey people always remember the compact I offered to buy it back once lol Gotta be the 2nd/3rd best car I owned! Thanks

e36's prices seem to be on the increase now, well for a nice one at least there are still bargains to be had but you wont really get anything decent for under 5k
