Hi RD,
It's a 2002 model, so whatever that is. smile

I know very little about them to be honest. I've always liked the shape of them as they manage to look good but still have 5 doors. Most 5 door versions of hot hatches look a bit pants compared to 3 doors, but I love the Leon.

I'll try and start a thread when I get mine. £20k spent on mods by some loon, on top of the price of the car.

I'm getting it for £4k. It has just about everything upgraded. Front mount intercooler, suspension inc. roll bars, 10 pot calipers on the front, Skoda VRS rear brake setup, etc, etc.

My mate has done trackdays inc. the ring and then on other weekends the car has taken all his family camping inc. camping gear.

They are a total do everything car. What more could you want!?

I'll keep an eye on this thread. Very good. thumbup

PS. Can't believe the difference in diameters in those boost pipes!! Nice mod.

Aye. Seeing this thread is completely changing my mind about hatches, granted this is a "hot hatch", but my point is that being 18 and driving around in a Fiesta I'm wanting/trying to get away from hatches and straight to saloons/coupés but this sent me straight to the classifieds. Looks great. Keep it up!

Just got mine out of the garage this weekend, have not used it properly for a few months over winter. I forgot how much fun they are, that old school turbo rush is great. I need to check out that TIP mod by Badger 5, it looks pretty good.

Thanks smile The cupra R's have dropped massively in price over the last year, just after i bought mine. You can pick a really nice one up for 4-5K now. You get a lot of bang for your money, its going to be tricky to find some to replace it with.

The badger 5 TIP is a great bit of kit, its not cheap though, the SFS TIP 3" (slightly smaller) is also very good, cheaper too. Both will give impressive results. A must have mod IMO.

Oh yeah, I did happen to find that whilst browsing. Shame insurance doesn't allow.

Don't I effin know it! No sooner than I had bought mine last may (also a black 03 but with tear drop mirrors!) than the prices started tumbling. bks.

Still, I don't regret it - with 68k its got plenty of life left in it.

I have to say, yours is remarkably free of stone chips. Have you had your Brembos refurbed? I did mine myself but am thinking of doing them professionally.

Looking good!

Well this week i've mostly been buying cleaning products, the plan is to do a full detail and have a go at polishing the car will a Dual Action polisher. A friend is lending me a Meguiars G220, so i've bought a selection of compounds, and a selection of pads, which i can keep for when i purchase a DA polisher.

I plan on doing a write up on my detailing session which will be Thursday and Friday, just in time for Bromley Pageant. smile

There are stone chips, but there isnt too many thankfully. I refurbed my brembo's, did you re-lacquer then or paint them? I used smooth red hammerite, leaves a lovely finish too. Mine could have definitely have been done better, but i was against a clock in heavy rain... not ideal conditions. smile
I plan to re-do them again very soon, probably around the same time i get the wheels refurb. Hopefully next month. smile

The car detail went well, manage to get all the swirls out the paint. Photo's dont do it justice, looks so much better when the sun is out.

Found some pictures i took before and after polishing the car on my camera, this gives you a good idea of the level of correct achieved.

BEFORE - The halogen light really helps to show up the imperfections

Thank Power, they're great value for money, more so now than ever. Really cant see me getting rid of it any time soon, cant think of anything i could straight swap it for which would do everything so well.

It's only done 65K so there is plenty of life left in it yet. smile

Wheelwerx's in colchester, i've heard nothing but good things about them. They're not cheap but their work is top notch. smile
