How you liking it so far? Is it standard? any plans?Nothing too exciting to report im afraid, my coil packs are on their way out (i think). Had a few backfires on full throttle and a slight ticking from the coil pack when on tick over, not all the time, just every now and then.
Popping to Europarts tomorrow to get some coil packs, also looking into getting VAG COM so i can run diagnostics. Want to be able to reset fault codes, run logs and general check ups before i got stage 2.

Picked it up at the tail end of August. Nothing too exciting so far just re furbed the brakes, stubby ariel, new head unit, fabia wiper, 20mm spacers + 15mm Spacers. The usuals! Im not sure on plans, i would love to get it to stage 2 at some point (its completly bog standard at the min) I've been looking into exhaust systems but i want a really quiet almost stock exhaust. Just to keep with the Q car style. Any hints or tips there?
Im also unsure to either go coilovers or just dampers and springs?? Comfort being the main issue.
Got a feeling my coil's are maybe doing the same as you mention that, its quite "ticky" at idle.

The miltek exhaust is exactly what you want, that's what i've got. Ever so slightly louder than standard, just enough noise, its perfect for me to be honest. Its very subtle, not chavy at all.
If you're local i'll happily take you for spin so you can hear it, where about's you located?
The ticking noise you have is almost certainly the carbon canister on the left hand side of the engine bay, they all tick. It's not broken, its just makes that noise. My noise is in addition to that tick lol.

They have ages rather i think. Its been a while since I've updated my RR thread, not a lot has really happened, I've just been driving it.
Carbon fiber Heat Shield:
The heat shield i was using was quite restrictive as it obstructed the air entering the filter. It was always just a short term solution as i need something to secure the filter, it also offered very little protecting from heat soak. So a friend of made a me a custom shield and then wrapped it in carbon fibre.
I'm really happy with the results, not only does it allow better airflow to the filter it also offers a surprising amount of protection from heat soak. Even after a long drive the filter is still cold to the touch.

Handling Modifications:
In a quest to improve the handling further i bought a custom rear strut brace and a 25mm rear Neuspeed anti roll bar off a friend who was breaking his Leon. Currently i have the standard front anti roll bar fitted, this will need replacing, i will either opt for a R32 23mm or a 25mm Neuspeed, i havent decided which one yet, some further research is need before i make the purchase.

I will also get the suspension raised approx 15mm as it is rather low, i got a bit carried away last time i adjusted it and wound it right down. The aim is to have a suspension set up which works on all type of roads, not just silky smooth tarmac.
The focus has very much shifted away from power and more towards handling, maybe once all the handling mods are done i will maybe go stage 2.
Plans for the coming months:
- Fix small oil leak from cam seal
- Forge short shifter kit (adjustable)
- Solid bushes for gear linkage
- N75 valve
- Dent removal on front bumper
- 225 Cupra R steering wheel
- Wheel refurb or new wheels
Long term plans:
- Front end respray
- uprated clutch
- LSD
The intentions are to make a point of just driving it for fun this year, a trip to wales at some point soon is definitely on the cards, and later in the year i will heading over to Europe with a bunch friend on a week long driving holiday.

Lovely car. I have one in platinum grey but it's completely standard, even has the original stereo! Keep wondering whether to remap it but it does feel like it has the right amount of power from the factory IMO. Do you get much torque steer on yours as standard there is almost none?

@ JC... You should definitely get it mapped, you wont regret it. The standard chassis handles it fine. Torque steer isnt a proplem, how you apply the throttle definitely help, it responds much better when you squeeze the throttle, as opposed to slamming it wide open. Low speed drivability is vastly improved too, pottering around town with little throttle input it's lovely. MPG is improved slightly too, consider it / sell it to the OH as an investment
