Little Runabout

I am considering a car to use as a day to day runabout, and obviously a BMW 8 series fits the bill rather well. Lee77 has a one I see,ALSO anybody care to regale me with ownership stories - what does the combined galactic wealth of knowledge at Pistonheads have about these 8 series?

I used to have one. very nice, went well in sports mode. Bigger in the back than my cerbera!!Only downers to look for are:

BIG servicing & spares costs, like two exhaust systems at over a grand each!!

Watch for the engine. This is the BMW - sulphur wearing bores problem. - Ask whether it has had a new engine block on warranty. - you can get this info from the dealer.

Overall though I have fond memories of mine.
