There are some suttle differences..
DSG vs manual
GT35/t04z hybrid vs GT3582
3.3 vs 3.2
CC vs FMIC
ME7 vs standalone software

Not a bad spec though, but I would be looking at an fx650 clutch and ceramic coating hot parts.

Can i ask why you chose a Charge Cooler over the FMIC?

Do you have any pics of the Charge Cooler?

Thanks

Space is an issue in the engine bay so the CC system is a good solution.
Also, i plan to do drag strip and fast road use which a CC system can offer less heat soak issues.
Here is a link to CC explained..

Charge cooler pump fitted in place of the AC..

Charge cooler rad infront of the engine rad..

Charge cooler heat exchanger..

Engine bay, but a few things have changed slightly..

As planned she has gone under the knife for a new clutch and hot parts are going to Zircotec for a little coating..

DSG

New wheels will be installed whilst she is asleep.

I should be going offshore this week so i will not need her.

Charge cooler heat exchanger..

Thanks Steve. That heat exchanger looks very nice. When i was a nipper i had an R5 turbo and lusted over the Pace charge coolers. What impressed me was the smaller volume of the system which should - in my mind - make it require less air to fill and therefore more efficient. You could have a massive water radiator obviously.

I noticed in point 6 of the attached link they recommend polished over black. I remember the Pace systems being black like yours.

Finally there used to be a product called wetter water. Its an additive which helps water transfer heat. Could be worth a look.

I've got a little anti-freeze in the system for cold spells.
Adding additives isn't on my to do list as temps are looking ok.
As for the black look, it doesn't make that much difference to plain ally as the confines of the engine will be heat soaking everything.
PACE was one of the market leaders but others have caught up.

Gearbox stripped down to inspect the clutch packs, baskets and steels..

There is wear to the friction plates and also the associated steels.
New clutch to be fitted..but who's
Chester Transmission will be carrying out the rework.

Been meaning to change the headlight inserts to match the new look of the wrap.
Moro blue inserts in the headlights..

Split the headlight and gave them an undercoat and a little colour..

Moro vs the lighter blue..

Hopefully getting the lenses polished up at some point..

Hi,

Yes I thoroughly enjoyed reading through the entire thread. What I meant was if I saw you at some lights in a car like this (having NOT read this thread) I would think 'modified from the outside but probably just a remap hero from the inside', then I would hate to be annihilated and realise the hard way that its pushing such ridiculous bhp.

It must be so surefooted that you can just plant the accelerator when pulling out of junctions knowing you'll safely be out without the car behind up your ass. Love the 3.3T badging, must confuse so many people!

Slightly vulgar question i know but i'm really curious as to how much all of this has cost you?
