This is called a Liquid Gauge and connects to the OBD 2 port that a lot of modern cars have as a diagnostic port.
It logs the car in real time and converts the data into bhp and torque figures.
It monitors a whole host of other info ie water temp, oil temp, egts, g/s, spped, rpm, ignition advanc, fault codes, TB reset and other stuff. Its is one of the best additions i have on the car.

I have heard of these, dont they take a reading from the MAF and revs and work out how much air it is consuming at whatever revs?

The Liquid Gauge gets its info from the ECU and converts the data into readable info just the same as Vagcom would.

I got back last night to a little parcel waiting for me..
Talking of giving peeps a scare..

The QTP will be fitted before the rear muffler as some issues can arise from fitting it too close to the downpipe.

The TT engine ECU and Mechatronic/ECU has been sent to Unitronic for the latest Stage 3 revisions for BT and DSG,i will be changing the injectors to Deka 870cc.

Letting the TT have a little wrap and ive decided on this colour..
First pics shows colours of green, purple and blue.
This pic was taken in the shade..

This pic shows light and dark blues and a high gloss where the sun strikes the wrap..

As seen in my build thread my rocker cover has been powder coated black..

I am currently polishing up another cover from a forum member and if it comes up to a high standard then one or the other will be up for sale..

To gain max potential from the Turbo my GT3582 is being changed out for a hybrid GT35 with T04z compressor wheel and housing from ATP..

Outstanding!! Any chance of it appearing at VMAX again in future? (Thinking it'd make a great magazine feature if you're interested...)

The TT has had a little makeover and is now sporting a hybrid GT35/T04z..

To now help feed the engine some new 1000cc injectors have been added..

The TT will be getting a new wrap soon so ive ensured the best look by getting some new roof rails off the stealers as the ones on the TT were grubby..

There is another Vmax coming up and hopefully i will be attending if my offshore work doesn't get in the way.

its the same format as the R32 golf and the R36 passat, its a VR6 engine just they've dropped the R bit, its more or less inline but with a slight tilt, rather than angle, of 10-15 degrees.

sound absolutely gorgeous! must be insane with the turbo too!
Its a pretty cool design the VR6 I think. The narrow angle means you only need 2 cams instead of 4. Each cam does the intake for one side and the exhaust for the other. With bigger angles you just cant reach so you need 2 cams on each side. Its about the same length as a 5 cylinder as well I think. Shame they dont do it anymore, but at least they replaced it with a wicked 5 cyl lump.

They do do it. R36 is a VR engine.

Goodbye 3.2, but hopefully the 3.6 will be around for a while.

Mine isn't strictly a 3.2 anymore as part of the tweaking has now turned it into a 3.3

Standard only around 240hp IIRC but the DSG meant you could just plant your foot and leave it flat through the gears which meant it was quick off the mark and the 4Wd made it easy to get the power down.

I will still be able to leave my foot planted and let the DSG change the gears, but i dont know how freightening that will be.

Can the Dsg handle 500hp without disintergrating, thats more than double the power of a standard 3.2. Thats got to be some amazingly quick car.
I used to be on the TT forum they have weekends at places like donnington park, and you can buy performance parts for your TT. Even had a parade lap of 120 TT's when i was there.thumbup
