I'm running a mk2 DSG and mechatronic unit now..
The car is docile off boost, but progressive, on boost.

Wow just read this start to finish, I love TT's and now you have me looking at Autotrader, keep it up!
Cheers, You wont find too many modified tiTTies in the UK, possibly 5 but they would be 1.8ers.
The switches are for HPFP, fan override, custom lighting & exhaust flap.
Im nearly finished messing now, as its time to enjoy her more of the time but probably put her away for winters.
Steve
Awesome car OP

either I'm misunderstanding or are you really saying there are only 5 modified TT's in the UK????

ahhh..there are quite a few modiffied 1.8 tiTTies around, but not many 3.2 TTities and the ones that are modiffied are mostly still normally aspirated. The Golf 2.8 and 3.2 boys have the most to show with power upgrades. There are only a few 3.2/3.3 turboed/superchrged tiTTies around and although the Golf and TT share the same platform, differances do appear, which make builds more interesting.

Took a trip down to Pipewerx today for a bigger back-box to quieten things down whilst running through sleepy hollows.
Pipewerx roll their own boxes so I was able to get a custom fit.
The new box is twice the volume of the old one..
Old..

Gone..

Mockup stage..

New one in and already signs it's suppressing the noise as the gases are tarnishing the box..

The old box was running 3" perforation and the new is 2.5"
Whilst I was there Jeff spun the rear KWs through 180 to move the oil reservoir away from the rims..

Coil overs moved was a good move (no pun intended!)
Does it still sound good when you open it up?

She still sounds good using the quieter exhaust side but the bypass option will be used when pushing up the higher horse power range.

The KWs have been on a while now and i decided to have a play with getting the best comfort setup for tootling around the street.
They were set to mid-settings all round but ive softened them to 2 clicks from full soft. Powerflex bushes all round certainly took some of the comfort away, but the KWs have given me the option back.

Swapped the old CF Valance out for an OSIR one..looks a little more aggressive, IMO..

Here is her evil twin as well..

Not many changes been done on the other girl in my life compared to Janice.
Stage 2 with DPF & Cat removal and K&N panel filter installed has given her 340bhp+ and 700nm+

With the DFP and Cat removed there is a noticeable whistle as No1 spools up, then road noise takes over, but i like it..allot.
She has been lowered 25mm on Eibach springs only..

Angel eye upgrade as the yellows weren't doing it for me..

HID upgrade..

Mid rear tint for that drug dealer look..

Next..possibly 272 Spiders

Decided to stretch the legs of the mk2 gearbox to see how she is performing.
Didn't want to overdo it so limited the boost to 20psi and got 743nm..

Feels quite a bit tighter than my old box, so hopefully she will stay in one piece for longer.
Power levels are still in line with the previous box at 37nm per 1psi boost with max available of 26psi.

Got some new keys for the TT from a forum member.

Very good quality and quite tactile.
Only took 20 minutes to cut and code them up.

Did a little dyno run with the liquid and managed to keep my foot in till about 5500 rpm in top gear..

533 BHP and 541 lb/ft at 22psi and 5500 rpm with potential to run 26 psi and 7400 rpm.

Dropped her off at Autograph for a while as my mechatronic units will be sent off to HPA for some upgrades and took the opportunity to take a few snaps and say goodbye..

Love the car, must be fairly mental on anything wet or slippy!

It's a fantastic drive as its permanent 4wd and really sticks with quality tyres.
DSG helps to deliver power smoothly and takes the spikes out.

How do you find the eibach springs?

I'm looking to fit some either eibach or H&R springs and not sure what to go for.

Also regarding the keys, where did you get those from, I assume someone off the TT forum. I have VAGCOM so I assume you code them via that.

I only have Eibach in the Beemer now as the TT now has KW3s fitted and there very good.
The keys are off Actionman on the AudiTTforum and price is very good over dealer.
