The KWs have been on a while now and i decided to have a play with getting the best comfort setup for tootling around the street.
They were set to mid-settings all round but ive softened them to 2 clicks from full soft. Powerflex bushes all round certainly took some of the comfort away, but the KWs have given me the option back.

Swapped the old CF Valance out for an OSIR one..looks a little more aggressive, IMO..

Here is her evil twin as well..

Is the bmw modified?
Not many changes been done on the other girl in my life compared to Janice.
Stage 2 with DPF & Cat removal and K&N panel filter installed has given her 340bhp+ and 700nm+

With the DFP and Cat removed there is a noticeable whistle as No1 spools up, then road noise takes over, but i like it..allot.
She has been lowered 25mm on Eibach springs only..

Angel eye upgrade as the yellows weren't doing it for me..

HID upgrade..

Mid rear tint for that drug dealer look..

Next..possibly 272 Spiders

Decided to stretch the legs of the mk2 gearbox to see how she is performing.
Didn't want to overdo it so limited the boost to 20psi and got 743nm..

Feels quite a bit tighter than my old box, so hopefully she will stay in one piece for longer.
Power levels are still in line with the previous box at 37nm per 1psi boost with max available of 26psi.

Got some new keys for the TT from a forum member.

Very good quality and quite tactile.
Only took 20 minutes to cut and code them up.

Did a little dyno run with the liquid and managed to keep my foot in till about 5500 rpm in top gear..

533 BHP and 541 lb/ft at 22psi and 5500 rpm with potential to run 26 psi and 7400 rpm.

Dropped her off at Autograph for a while as my mechatronic units will be sent off to HPA for some upgrades and took the opportunity to take a few snaps and say goodbye..

It's a fantastic drive as its permanent 4wd and really sticks with quality tyres.
DSG helps to deliver power smoothly and takes the spikes out.

I only have Eibach in the Beemer now as the TT now has KW3s fitted and there very good.
The keys are off Actionman on the AudiTTforum and price is very good over dealer.

I went as far as I can in Normally Aspirated form where cost benefit had finished me off and the only options were to get out of it and sell or take the leap to FI.
It took me about a week deciding as my modding budget needed to be in place and I decided to turn her in to a slow burn project to relieve pressure on finances.

The TT has been in winter stripdown for the past 6 weeks waiting for parts to come in from Canada and Manchester.
Im replacing the mk2 TT gearbox with an uprated O2E, 15 plate clutchpack and software from HPA.
Im also replacing my NASP Stage 3 head with a Stage 3 FI head c/w berrylium inserts.
Going offshore for the next 4 weeks, so hopefully i will have an update when i get back.

Update..

The gearbox has come with mechatronic, clutch-pack and software pre-installed.
The cardboard box sitting along side is my new spare mechatronic unit.

Here are some shots of my CNC new head with standard inlet valves and Ferrea 1mm oversize exhaust valves sat on Beryllium seats.
The cams are 264/260 fast road pushing against upgraded springs and rockers.

Just gotta wait for a time slot before rebuilding the old girl as there are other tiTTies being worked on.

Managed to get the TT back together in time for the Swiss trip and completed the 3000 miles with minimal fuss.
Two tiTTies fell by the way side with supercharger and driveshaft issues.
I was running reduced boost to protect the new head, gearbox and clutch.
Still managed to achieve 500bhp and 600lb/ft at 75% boost.
Had my exhaust bypass open the whole trip for tunnels and close walled villages....mmmmmmmmm
Back in Blighty with the tour decals on..

Here is a vid of some of the roads in Switzerland and keep your eye out for the car that ended up rolling off the road..

Cheers Tom.
The last 4 weeks have been full on, getting the car ready and then enjoying the fruits of the re-build.
Hopefully i can enjoy her some more over the coming weeks before she goes in for some tweaks.
Possibly tubular exhaust manifold and some dyno runs.
I know the exterior is not too everyones liking but it could be a lot worse.

Ha ha, now tiTTies are becoming more affordable to the masses there is a scene for tuned cars.
They can be expensive when they go wrong but keeping on top of jobs spreads the cost.

No worries, the wheels are for longevity as I'm fed up of kerbing alloys.
This is my 5th set in 5 years and these have been on 2.
Quality lasts but costs.

Here is a pic of my EGT sensor that was fited whilst the head was being worked on and its proximity to the turbo..

Since fitting the new head with revised exhaust ports my EGTs are in the 900s on boost now, but using the sensor for data logging will prove valuable in monitoring temp vs timing pull.
Since fitting the new gearbox there was an issue with the length of the O/S driveshaft.
A custom length one is currently being fabbed up and will be balanced and sprayed black once completed, then fitted soon..

Cheers, not your regular wheel for an Audi but I like them.
Schmidt TH Line 3 piece in 18" fitment is not a common choice.
Centres were powder coated black as an optional extra.
