Just picked this up on Saturday as my new company car and so far i'm smitten - its an outrageous Q Car given the specs:

0-60mph - 4.97
1/4 mile - 13.2 sec
Top Speed - Limited to 150mph. Estimate 165-170mph unlimited.
4.0 6 Cylinder Turbo
362 BHP
393 lb/ft torque (2000-4750 rpm)
6 Spd ZF Auto
1745kg weight.

So far its returning about 23-25mpg and thats with fairly spirited driving which i think is pretty good.

Dimensions wise its about the same size as a BMW 5 series (E60).

Its also specced right up - elec leather seat, reverse camera, ipod/bluetooth thingummyjig, dual zone climate etc so feels very luxobarge but when you floor it it feels crazy fast.

I thought it had enough power but have found out you can chip it for about 300 quid to around 420bhp or about 2 grand gets you just above 500bhp driving

Looks like a Mondeo but nicer! Sounds stupidly rapid for such a car too. I want one!

I like it! Definitely more subtle than a XR6/8.

Hoping to hire a Falcon to pootle around when I go to NZ in October, even if it will just be the XT.

Definitely interesting. I'd be tempted to chip it just for the hell of it - first option is good value!

Here's a google clip I found of the same car as mine doing 0-60mph (100 km/h) quite, er, quickly...

What a lovely car, if only they were offered on sale in the UK.

When you say 6 cylinder, is it a straight 6 or V6?

0-60 in FIVE SECONDS?

In what looks like a boggo MONDEO?! (Doesn't even look as tarty as our Titanium X version with the ST engine, which is slower redface )

Amazing! Top marks!

Superb, I really like that. It's better looking than our Mondeo.

They've always used a straight 6

Why the bloody hell don't Ford sell this in the UK?! GM do with the VXR8 and the Ford would have MUCH wider appeal imo as a real alternative to the M5 ilk, purely because of the very understated looks!

Rambly story:
I remember about four/five years ago one night when I was 13. Mates dragging me along to an underage club type thing, been drinking a bit and at that age under the influence EVERYTHING is amazing hehe. It was on this industrial estate and I'd not really done anything like it before. Then, out of the pitch black a then-brand new black Falcon did the biggest fk off burnout I've seen on a standard car, before returning a few minutes later drifting around some of the corners. Hadn't even seen/heard it before it did the burnout, just looked like anything else. Very, very impressive sight and a truly glorious sound cloud9
