My ABS warning light has come on a couple of times, completely at random - my usual reaction policy of turning everything off and turning it on again has done the trick the three or so occasions it has happened. Should I be worried? (sorry, 993 C2)

I work with and fix these car all day long. I tend to find most ABS faults are caused by the ABS relay having a poor connection or being faulty. It is in the fuse board under the bonnet. Look on the reverse of the fuse board cover to find its location. Pull it out and give the connections a clean with contact cleaner or WD40. If you still have problems try changing it. Thats about the only thing you can do easily. Other possibilities could be a poor connection from one or the ABS sensors or a faulty ABS sensor, diagnostic equipment i needed for further investigation.

I am sure you have nothing to worry about.

Hope this helps WeeMan..............
