Yeah no doubt if they are original they have saved the owners a lot of cash over all those miles and yes its a good thing that they have lasted this long.
the person who has to fork out for a new set who gets the headache unless they plan to do 180k as well
realisticaly they will probably fit steel disks I imagine.
Are PCCB disks still mega expensive or have they come down yet? is there an option of anoter non porsche CC replacement that may be just as good but cheap yet or do you have to go OEM for them?

Perfect usable GT3, why do people get so hung up on milage? It has probably had an easier life than a 50k car thats sat in London traffic every day, started from cold hundreds more times & seen less trackdays! Saying that, at 25k, it's a pretty big wodge of cash in your pocket to put it right should it ever go wrong!

Henry,
a beautifully worded ad, just as long as you don't have a low mileage example in at the same time. Could bring some interesting questions regarding its usage
It looks in A1 condition and hats off to your transparency regarding its earlier 'incident'.
You can quite clearly tell you are tacking the Forum Banter head on from the off-set! Good on you!
All the best,
Stevie

I disagree that there is a conflict between that advert and any of our lower mileage cars, of which there are plenty. We never just look at the speedo and buy/price from that. Tired low mileage cars are probably one of the larger groups we reject on the basis we would want to price them based on their condition but whoever eventually buys the car prices and sells on based on the mileage. This is nothing new and we aren't breaking new ground with this car or advert.
It's always been the same. The number on the speedo dictates the most you can ask for the car, the car it's self dictates the price up to that figure.
We offer cars which we feel will appeal to people and as can be seen already in this thread different people have different wants, needs and viewpoints. I hope we understand each of those different camps and deliver accordingly. This is a one off, a bit like a sub 10k miles 3.2 Carrera. You aren't going to get offered many and the ones you do often get rejected. In the 3.2 example because they are too expensive or don't meet the ultra critical expectations of a buyer. Age has taken it's toll ahead of the number on the speedo. But every now and again things come together and the cars get bought.
Anyway, enjoy the bank holiday !

Quite amazing mileage - an average of 25k miles a year.

Henry's GT3 allows the man who thought he didnt have the budget for a GT3, to have one.
One of the best driving 911's I owned had done 162K, was an absolute jewel.
Exactly. Not everyone can afford 40k for one but this lets them have one.One of the best driving 911's I owned had done 162K, was an absolute jewel.
Case in point another car forum, this guy posts up a car for £7k. Everyone says the mileage is high and yeah fair point it is a bit at around 120kmiles. Another poster says he would spend 5k more to get lower mileage one. 5k more is a HUGE % on top of 7k, 71%!
Might as well have the car looked at, bank the 5k and use it for tyres and all around maintenance for 2yrs. Job done.

Well done for mentioning the repair in the ad, a lot of dealers wouldnt and it speaks a lot of 911V.
Could easily have been omitted.
Excellent wording as well, really puts your mind at ease.
" 130,000 miles later we feel any repairs can be signed off as satisfactory."
quality
Very temptingly priced. Don't reckon they'll have it long.

A great ad for the longevity of the GT3.
Yep, There is a LHD Mk1 GT3 CS on 220,000km (let's call this 140k miles) which has lived at Spa and the Ring practically from day one. Still on the original engine and gearbox. Admittedly with new synchros and plates in the LSD, but none-the-less the mileage is impressive. The car is also for sale for EUR30k...
