Cargraphic for the last 10 years (at least) have bought all their tuning packages from RS Tuning who developed them on their engine dyno. Rs Tuning tested the new Dfi turbo motor and blew it up at the 550hp level. They have subsequently built a Dfi turbo motor with rods etc and I understand whilst holding together it has been problematic so they do not offer tuning for the turbo Dfi motor. Cargraphic has partnered with someone else to develop the Dfi turbo tuning, I don't know who it is, maybe DMS Ken, do you know who Cargraphic used for the turbo S if it wasnt RS Tuning? So to clarify a number of points - Cargraphic do not use RS Tuning for DFi engines - Cargraphic have worked with a small German motorsport company for all tuning of DFi engines e.g. boxsters, caymens, 911s etc. - For the Turbo (DFi), Cargraphic will not take any tuning over 600hp - absolute limit - Cargraphic have a tuned Turbo with now 50000km since tuning without any issues Cargraphic stand by their tuning. In conjunction with Cargraphic we are in the process of being able to offer a warranty on performance upgrades from Cargraphic. More to follow on that. If you have any other questions then feel free to contact me Ken @ nineexcellence.

Ruf have also just brought a 620 kit out: RUF Automobile GmbH proudly announces a new upgrade for both the Porsche 997 Turbo and the Turbo S. The standard 368 kW (500 hp) of the Turbo and the 390 kW (530 hp) of the Turbo S have been increased through modified engine electronics, a new air filter, a sports catalyst and a new exhaust system with double end pipes to a total of 456 kW (620 hp). The Torque increases to an astonishing 820 Nm @ 3,000 to 3,500 rpm. This enables a sprint of 0 – 62mph in just 2.9 seconds, 0 – 124 mph in 9.1 seconds and a top speed of 202 mph (326 km/h). The upgrade is available for both the manual and the PDK versions.

When someone tells me that they have run the car for 50000 km, on track, and on the autobann (daily) up to max speed generally, then that gives me confidence that the upgrade is okay.

Ken @ nineexcellence. Did you ever get anywhere with warranties on Cargraphic upgrades? No is the straight answer to warranty question. We are tuning 997 gen 1 and gen 2 turbos ourselves - watch this space next month. As it is in the thread, the interesting issue is with PDK. There is a limit of around 560-580 at the wheels. Speedart have an upgrade which takes that to near 600 at the wheels. The problem with PDK is two fold 1. The box is not serviceable - physically you have to cut the box open to get inside 2. You could still the biggest turbos on you want, and the car would be no faster e.g. and engine with 1000hp will be no quicker than engine with 600hp - reason - PDK will reduce all power through DME if it feels slippage. PDK internal upgrade is being worked on. Problem is that 650hp is worthless when compared to 600hp. You need over 700hp to notice.
