it looks like Sunday will be the day for most of us to get together.

Likewise i will be at the trackday on friday
and race day on sunday.

It is good that saturday is a down day as i can get my car ready for the next track day on the Monday..by which time I will probably be overdosed on porsche

I can't wait. At last a Porschefest with the motion... it was the lack of moving dynamics that put me off last year's PCGB bash. Now we have 'our' very own, like the Ferrari bash at Silverstone.

Am thinking of going to this. Do you camp over night or are hotels, etc near by?

Is it a good drinking occasion for people to have a bash, or is it a more sober affair?

Sorry if the above sounds daft...I just don't know the craic!

Thanks

MOD.

Excellent question Martyn. I'm sure if we can get some like minded quality loons together we can sort out some cheapo travel lodges or something, together with an evening of beer and curry/pie the night before or after.

Not sure what day it is but I am planning on going the same day as the Porsche racing, think it's sunday.

Most of the immediatly local hotels are booked. I am 15 mins drive from there, so can reccomend venues for beer/ruby etc...if that helps?
We probably need to work out when we are going to meet up etc... I get the impression most of us will meet on the Sunday for race day.

As Paul said, not much in the way of hotels. However if you are looking for somewhere half decent, I can thoroughly recommend West Malling. An easy drive in the morning, decent hotels/ B&B near by and an excellent selection of pubs and restaurants, including:

-An Italian Pizza place/ wine bar;
Real Ale pub (at least 6 Beers);
-Decent modern, "trendy" bar;
Fopur local-style pubs, two of which are Shepherd Neame;
A curry house, chinese, Kebab shop, fish n chips and (I think) a Taiwanese as well);

Free parking throughout the day/ night

All this is within a 5 minute radius of each other.

Oh, you could always camp at the circuit. I have heard (though wqould'nt like to swear on it) that the local Pizza places in Swanley will deliver to the camp site...

Paul And William.

Thanks for the ideas. No doubt we will sort something out nearer the time. I'm now certain I will be attending on the sunday daytime. The question is whether to arrange a few beers and a meet with the usual suspects for the saturday or sunday evening. My preference is to do the saturday evening on the .
