reputable independent v OPC

Can anyone help re the above?

I'm in NW London and will be needing a 12,000 service on a 944 s2 and a few other small bits doing.

In respect of the service I've come accross a company called JZ Machtech (who have been very helpful over the phone and have fixed menu pricing!) and re fitting of a CAT 1 alarm/immobiliser and new stereo a company called Hamilton & Parker have been mentioned.

I'm not sure whether to go to the OPC as the car has all previous services at an OPC - will it make much difference if I "break the chain"?

I've taken my S2 to JZ Machtech for the past six years and my Turbo for the past two, and heartily recommend them. They are not the cheapest, but they give good value and have mechanics who know these cars.
