Well I finally got round to sorting a roof rack for my cayman and it cost a grand total of £49.99.

I bought a new one from eBay that fits a BMW 1 series. It comes with plastic feet that fit into the holes In the roof. After an hour of cutting and shaping the feet they fit the cayman and work a treat. I chucked my surfboard on and took it on a 150 mile round trip today and it worked perfectly.

I have a brand new one still in box, have sold the Cayman recently so don't need it. It looks like a substantial bit of kit.

I can't remember I'm afraid, it was just a cheap one from eBay.

In addition the cayman rattles got the better of me and I got rid and returned to a z4.

interesting, could you elaborate please? did you find the z4's build quality to be better? what about road noise in comparison?
