Hi to all, I was thinking of trying to organise a drive out/get together for all owners of just GT3 models. Would need to be fairly central location for us all to meet as the cars will be spread across the country.
Any suggestions or if any one would be interested post it up or email me.

Would be interested in doing something if the date is right and not too far to travel (poncey hard working self employed southerner won't go north of Camden Town!). Trackday could be fun but cuts out the socialising a bit but not a bad idea anyway.

How about a meet at the Porsche Performance Centre at Silverstone? Fairly central, plenty of parking and other stuff to see and do.

Hi, not sure about the combining it with trackday..... Not all will want this. Trying to get as many GT3 owners together in one place at same time as I think these cars are fantastic and would like to meet like minded owners.
The experience centre would be a good idea, any others?

Mike I think that the point of combining it with a TD is to maximise attendance. If something were orchestrated at the Porsche Experience centre on the same day when there was a day available on the GP circuit then those on track could join for lunch and late afternoon and you would likely get more showing up. Equally, people not looking to track their cars could still partake of passenger laps during the day - surely not a bad recipe?

If you talk nicely to the relevant TDO you can arrange a block booking and a discount - boxa.net have done this for a number of years for their annual gatherings.

I'm up for it. It would be good to meet other owners at any sort of venue. An alternative option may be to look at an airfield track day run by the likes of Motorsports Events at www.motorsport-events.com.Hullavington near Chippenham has a 105dB limit so most GT3s should be OK They run track days on weekends and are way cheaper than traditional race circuits, as well as being good fun. Generally speaking, airfield events provide a much safer day out for the inexperienced as the run off areas do not contain gravel or armco - just grass/tarmac. It may be possible to get a decent block booking rate for an advance booking in Spring/Summer, in fact if there were enough takers it may be possible to make it exclusive to us alone?

Airfield Track Days cost between £100 - £130, but I am mindful of noise levels created by several GT3 on track at the same time so think it would be essential to agree this with the organisers before any planning went ahead.
