Phunk. Nice car but it doesn't look like Lapis Blue to me. It could be Ocean Blue?

Lapis replaced Ocean in the colour charts sometime in/around 2000 so don't believe that there are any '99s in Lapis...
You could be right! I'll check the colour code this morning!
I had Lapis and it's more purple looking. This doesn’t look like Lapis to me.

It's unmistakeable in your latest image!

In the below image (taken circa 10 years ago!) my '02 Lapis 2.7L is on the right with an Ocean Blue '00 S in the middle and a Night Blue '96 2.5L (one of the first few thousand) on the left.

I have lived with Lapis for 14 years but think that Ocean is the pick of the bunch.

Right then, I've now got the hole on my driveway and the money in my pocket.

Anyone spotted anything worth viewing - from £4-6k, maybe 7 for the cracker. The earlier the better, more than likely a really nice early, basic 2.5 in an interesting colour combo.

I'm off to see an Arena red 2.7 and a Black/Savannah 2.5 at the weekend.

There's a gorgeous Silver/Red on the trader at £4k but they've told me its sold.

Guards red seems like hens teeth unfortunately.

There's a guards red 986 with black interior sat on a driveway round the corner to me, flat tyres, feeling very sorry for itself. I should knock on the door really.

I always have a soft spot for my first Porsche, a brand new 987.1 2.7 with 5 speed box....covered nearly 90K in that over 3 years.....still felt fresh when I px'ed it. So good that my OPC slapped a Porsche warranty on it and retailed the dear old thing....

Good enough for me - I like a bit of old fashioned tree pulp format. One of the Pork-centric offerings?

Pater has one of these. Even back-to-back with my ol' Renn-hog I thought it was all the sports car you could ever realistically need.

It's a brilliant car.

I'm pretty sure I read a magazine the other day with you bestowing all kinds of praise for a 986 over a 987.1??

Shame there isn't a red/blue/yellow there to mix it up a bit.

I'm so annoyed the silver/red one on auto trader at £4000 is sold. Had sports seats too. Get.

After sitting in both, I actually prefer the non sports seats.

If you can get some 997 911 seats fitted, they are much much much better.
