Bit different to the other poverty Pork here but around 6 weeks ago bought this. 2005 Cayenne S 4.5 full history & 88K. Loads of options including a pano roof.

How much?
£8750 from a dealer.

Not that I care much about mileage / value as I bought mine to be driven, but what's the market like for mega miles air-cooled? I don't recall ever seeing many 125,000+ miles air-cooled 911s on the market.....

There are loads of 964 with 80k and 130k plus miles for silly money in comparison to barely 5 figures for Boxsters.

Cheap tax model?
My mate at work has one. Only one I have been in. His is a 2007 I think. He has the sport techno 20 inch wheels which interestingly have a different offset front to rear but the same tyre size. His has a remus exhaust which burbles nicely if you're outside. His has leather clad dash and air suspension. Not sure what's standard on the 4.5s?

Yup registered September 2005 so 295 not 515. This is on 19" so not too bad ride wise.A mate had a Turbo on 21" and the ride was dire.
Dash and air would have been options. Mine has leather dad but no air. Air is rare on none turbos. Also something else to go expensively wrong. Mine has upgraded PCM, heated all seats and steering wheel, bixenons, optional 19" wheels.

Hmmm.. Am I right to suggest, for me 996 or 986 Cat D totally acceptable. Cat C, not sure. If it was an air-cooled 911, that would need occasional driving only happy sunny weekends not longer distances maybe? idea

I still think even as a cat c it is too cheap. If that was not listed it would be what - nearer to 17 maybe?

It's pretty. Mind you, if it had any engine related issues you'd soon be well into 'going to lose a bundle' territory.

I'd want to be very mechanically confident, or have it inspected before going anywhere near it.

It's also a vert so not the most dynamic of the bunch

So what's the going rate for an early 987, no options but well looked after with 55k on the clock? Not as low as 7, surely?

Totally. If its not CAT C, I think it would be a keeper. Engine rebuild (10k max.) then average 15 years stress-free 911 driving. bandit

Also, one of the cleanest MOT history I've seen on a 996 so far! tempting idea

Less than 40k miles, photo's don't do it justice, this thing looks and drives like new.
