Are there physical cars for sale at OPC s?
No used cars as of yet. Might be the odd one or two over the next 6 months but I reckon it will be well into next year before there is any kind of "stock" of used vehicles.

6 months.

Suspect most will already be earmarked although will be interesting to see how they get priced. Ours arrives July but might need moved on quite quickly depending on circumstances.

I bet each one has a short waiting list against it.

As for pricing, if the Cayenne diesel's early used prices were anything to go by, the Macan will be add a bit, then add a bit more. A nice little earner for the OPCs.

Not sure if already posted... but after the GT3 fiasco... another nice little PR stunt from Porker.. this time with their mainstream cash-cow model.

Google translate says -
Stuttgart - The sports car manufacturer Porsche has 2500 Macan call back. In the come on the market only in April SUVs can cause a decreased braking power. Internal quality audits have shown that in the initial phase of production sporadically brake booster were damaged, Porsche said. "The brake function corresponds nevertheless to the legal requirements," a spokesman said. He expects less than 25 Macan, who would actually be improved. All affected Porsche drivers are now to be contacted by your local dealer, in order to examine the brake booster.

The recall does not affect all delivered Macan vehicles. In April, Porsche had handed over about 2,000 vehicles to customers by its own account, the May figures are not yet available. In many markets, including Japan and the USA, the launch of the compact SUV is still pending. The Macan is built in Leipzig.

As a Porsche Owner now that Porsche makes it's cars by the hundred thousands and is owned by VW, I am not amazed at all !

What about the pre-VW days when they had all the IMS/RMS failures, and cylinder bore scoring.

At least with the GT3 and (some) Macans they've actually come clean and admitted further mods are needed.

I saw a black S the other day. Looked great but was exactly like what a 4/5ths Cayenne would look like

Agree -Porsche had plenty of issues before VW came along - just would not admit it!

Popped into an OPC today and had a first proper look at the Macan. I have to say I really like it, I'm not looking to change for another 10-12 months but is it something I should be acting on now to get a car around April next year?

Get a deposit it, no need to confirm spec until much nearer the time when build slot available.

Drive one and then comment... driving

You can put £3K down now, but I doubt you will get a new build slot for delivery before Summer 2015!

Thanks I spoke to OPC Guildford today and have back to back test drives of the "S" in both diesel and petrol booked for next weekend. They did say that the 2ltr petrol and 3ltr diesel options would be next summer with the 3.0ltr petrol later in the year.
