Thanks I spoke to OPC Guildford today and have back to back test drives of the "S" in both diesel and petrol booked for next weekend. They did say that the 2ltr petrol and 3ltr diesel options would be next summer with the 3.0ltr petrol later in the year.
There are already 3.0 petrol & Diesels...what's gonna be new next summer?
Sorry, that's what I have been quoted as delivery times on each engine.

Did they mention LT's on the Turbo ? Also on 3.0L petrol - does "later in the year" mean 2014 or 2015 ? smile

I didn't ask about the Turbo but with regards to the 3.0 petrol it would be later on in 2015.

Porsche have indicated they may not bring a 2L diesel or petrol.

Couldn't say, but Notts OPC have a nicely specced turbo for £65k in the showroom.

Yep, in the same way there's a V6 petrol Cayenne available as a special order... No one will buy it, certainly not when the S petrol is just 3k more for the Porsche engine with 2 extra cylinders and a decent jump in power. I'd be surprised if they didn't bring out a 4 cyl diesel though.

I finally had a sit in one of these this week. I kinda have to agree with Autocar that the room in the back is not really good enough for a car of this size. It is about the same as a standard hatchback (if that), which is pretty unimpressive in something that is not much smaller than the Cayenne.

That said, I liked it quite a lot - it has a relatively "premium" feel about it and is reasonably Porschey. If it drives like it is said to, I will probably buy a used petrol version in a couple of years.

Well after a test drive in both the diesel and petrol "S" I've now joined the queue for a diesel one.

I didn't think the petrol version was as loud as it should/could be and from the test drive I thought the diesel was the better everyday choice.

Guildford did have a cancelled petrol build they offered me for this year though if anyone is looking for one.

Collected my Diesel S on Friday in Black with Black. Really happy with the car. Great ride, quite, ample performance and perfect size for around town.

Paid of Elec Memory seats and the passenger seat is fully manual. Only moan!!

Driver's side is electric and passenger manual? How odd. Can you get it sorted?

My mate has just been told his Turbo will be a little later than expected (by a month or so). I think related to pan roof still.
