Just had it confirmed by my dealer that my allocation (Turbo) and 2 others (diesels) were taken off them as the specs weren't locked down
doesn't sound quite right ..your Macan slot would have had your initial spec, which is changeable until the 'spec freeze date'. once spec freeze date passes, spec is fixed and cannot be changed.
your dealer may be telling you porkies.

Reading between the lines I think my salesperson has cocked up royally, do wonder if all 3 cars are with the same individual as this is my understanding too - think the sales manager is trying to keep it as 'clean' as possible; they've 2 other potential sales with my family at risk depending on the outcome of this... and our future business - I'm trying to keep as cool and reasonable as possible - just want clarity as to what has happened and a commitment to when I'll get a car.... something they seem to be struggling with...your Macan slot would have had your initial spec, which is changeable until the 'spec freeze date'. once spec freeze date passes, spec is fixed and cannot be changed.

I've just had the date my new Macan will be finished in the factory, I think it's called the check point 8? Anyway it's the 21st of October when will I see the car, any ideas?
Thanks
Mine was 14 days from build to delivery to the OPC. I've heard some a quicker so you might get lucky but don't count on it.Thanks
From CP8 expect 10 days wait.
The CP8 means the car rolls of the line, but it still has to go through QC and then exit factory - then on the transport to the docks. That takes about 3-4 days. Then 1-2 days waiting at the docks, 1 day crossing and 1-2 days to get from docks to you dealer.
I would contact your dealer and ask to be updated when its status is "Out Emden". That is when its on the ship.

Got my diesel S last week and drove it a bit this weekend. It's a monster. Very pleased with it. The nvh is better than the Cayenne D it replaced and the PDk is better than the auto by miles. It is also seriously fast when the kids aren't in the rear.
Hi Jo , hope that you are Ok - I have one of these too - great car , as you say unbelievably quick . Also very odd mine has had loads of attention from well wishers and no one has even batted an eye at my 991 GT3 - really funny .RSVP911 said:

haha found exactly the same thing, people go nuts for the macan. I drive all my cars to work, lady who parks next to me loved the macan, but didnt even mention the gt3 lol.Just been for my first look around one. Sitting in a modern interior Porsche is like being in the starship enterprise compared to my 997 RS.
Anyway first impressions very impressed. Borrowing a diesel Saturday afternoon for a few hours.
What's the current lead times people are being quoted?

A mate is in the trade and he is starting to get offered cars now.
I also got offered a Diesel from an indi which has delivery miles which was only a fraction over list.
I have spoken to various dealers about petrol and diesel models (we have now decided to stick Cayenne), and their wait times varied from 9 months to 18, but all felt it was likely to come down.
I think the madness will die down in the new year and wait times will start to reduce considerably.

We are getting out of our Macan and back into a Cayenne for March delivery. Macan is epic but we need the bigger car.
Our OPC has offered us a guaranteed trade in for March c. £1500 below list. It's a very desirable spec diesel that was configured partially with this circumstance in mind. That would be traded at c. 7 months with c £8k miles.
If we were trading in today, then price would be even closer to list.
These are simply amazing to drive.
