I'm not sure I agree with that statement. Firstly, the RSQ3 is remarkably capable, I've driven one and thought it was very, very good. Secondly, the optimal drivers' spec of these cars appears to be PTV, steel suspension and the smaller wheel options, so for somebody who liked driving rather than focussing on looks, I'd expect at least two of the things you've highlighted as "stretched to cheapest poverty spec" to be visible. Colour is very much a subjective personal preference, so one man's 'gorgeous' is another's 'eeew'.J-P said:

Why?Quicker in a straight line but nowhere near as good through the corners and ride far too firm IMO. Interior also a class below and residuals not as good making SQ5 a more expensive ownership proposition overall.

My Macan Diesel had 20" wheels, PASM suspension, nav, bluetooth, & electric heated seats. I thought the ride was great with this combination (I tried 21" wheels on air suspension, and it was harsher). To be fair the SQ5 is faster that the Macan S but not around bends. I drove both and the Macan is dynamically superior in every other way which is why I bought one.
Many cars are better equipped than a standard Macan but that doesn't mean you should consider buying them.

Ahh ok understood. Well on that point the current residuals on the Macan have a real advantage in that respect. I'm told I'd get my money back on mine due to the high demand and low allocations for the UK. I'm not sure how long that will continue but as I have Petrol S I'm hoping it'll be for a while yet.
