I must say I'm with the OP on this one, a thing of beauty. Interested to know where it fails...The one above to me is in a similar vein to the Singer "911", but taken to even more extreme cartoon proportions on those huge wheels and daft ride height.

Front splitter and daft wheels. Either make a rep of a classic car or don't bother and design something new and fresh.Agree entirely. Surely the whole attraction of the 904 is that it's so lithe and delicate. Why you'd want to bolt on a set of ludicrous bling wheels and aero bits is beyond me.
There's a company in the US, I believe, that builds 904 reps ground up with tubular chassis and for a fraction of the price of the real thing. That would be my preference.
