Stones have taken their toll during the last 20,000 miles (not bad in 12 months!).

Judging by the wings & bonnet, you would imagine the car has "space shuttle" mileage.

Kindly invite your recommendations as to who I should use for said respray.

London / East Sussex range!

Thanks in advance......

Not sure on who to use on a complete respray down that way as I am from Milton Keynes.

But whatever you do, don't use one of these Superchips companies, i used them for a chip on the bumper of my C4S, and they made a complete balls up of it, so bad that they then had to take the car away for a respray over the area that they had been working on. When they had finished it looked OK for a few weeks and then it started to flake apart.

I got a quote for a full bumper respray, and you should be looking at no more the £300.

Still collecting quotes.

Jasmine Porschalink:

900 plus VAT - entire front end

400 plus VAT - 4 x wheel refurb (checking if that is total respray)

80 plus VAT - 4 x wheel centre crests (seems good OPC quoted 30 plus VAT each!)

Let us know the result of this. In particular is it the same price for respraying the wheels a different colour, eg black.

Funny you say that - I was thinking of having wheels black. General question: do people think it would look good?

Buster, oh ye of little faith.

Wheel refurb - I know of someone used by some racing teams who will strip the wheels down, and then paint them whatever colour you like, or put the ally finish back on etc. Cost? c. £30 a wheel excluding fitting (which is bugger all).

For a respray - go to the guy who did my Maser and my 355. He is used by some leading people and accordingly does not need to advertise. Prices will be c. 20% cheaper than going through a garage and will be a lot cheaper than an OPC. Plus he's a mate of a mate so will do you a good deal. Based in Chatham - 40 mins from BF.

Details on request.

MOD500, you're getting perilously close to a libel action.

Anycase, all part of the service. I'm only interested in 2 things, after all:

1. Running the best driving tours around.
2. Invoicing Buster for all that bloody wax he plastered over his car

If you can be vaguely bothered then the best place I have found is up in Manchester. I live in London but still take my cars up for anywork. Roy of Globe Motors (0161 273 5943) charges around £200 for a PU or about £350 for a front end. The work is amazing.

Wheels-go to www.lepsons.com. About £60 per wheel and really great work-indistinguishable from Porsche factory.

WHatever you do dont use a POrshce approved repairer. They log the repair and then the dealer kicks you in the nads when you come to sell the car. Seen this happen too many times!
