I find it unbelievable that you have to check shipping reports to work out when your car will arrive.
Gobsmacked.
Anyhow, enjoy the new arrivals when they do come!

PocoLoco said: Slightly off topic but - Awesome website... this will change my life when the father-in-law comes to visit... He loves to sit on the balcony and watch the literally HUNDREDS of ships per day coming through Victoria Harbour and the Hong Kong Island Channel. He also seems to think that we know where each of them is heading... Now he can tell us.... I hope your cars arrive soon!;)

It's then up to five days before cars arrive at the OPCs. I expect to find out the scheduled arrival date at the OPC tomorrow.

It seems like this whole "cars delayed at Emden" thing is now happening again with the 981 Boxster. Can anyone help me with the following questions?
1 - Last time, how long did it take before those early customer 991s that had been built and then sat at Emden got moving again?
2 - Is it possible that the cars have been built on the day that they were scheduled to be, then shipped to the port and subjected to a prolonged QC on the dockside with all their protective film and fenders on?
I'd love to know what is really going on and I'd love to know WHEN I will get my car!!!

3 - Is anyone currently being told that their 991 is "sat at the docks in Emden undergoing a quality check"?

If my dealer is correct, the delay has not been too long on our car(981) Should have been on a boat on Tuesday now on one this weekend

Just as a matter of interest , does anybody know if deposits are refundable if you have only been given an estimated delivery date ?
I`m getting zilch info from the Dealer as to whats happening with 981 S and the t and c`s are rather woolly to understand .
