The trips were much simpler and more basic they were so much more rewarding. We zip about in our tin boxes on roads like the N260 but the experience is so much better on bike. Having said that I would never compromise on the fact that a car is so much practical on a trip like this. So glad I had the opportunity to ride bikes in the South of France and Italy, pure pleasure and the general attitude to bikers compared to the UK was a revelation.
Absolutly, but the one thing that used to drive me crazy was the fuel stops ........ Dukes, tank range anybody? 90 miles and me mate got the Ducati 1000 yd stare. Desperatly searching out a petrol station. 
One thing a car can do better is the tank range.

not at all. Totally relevant, especially if the thread is moved or copied to the Roads section as "Oi U" mentioned. Which is a good idea. We can at least paste a large portion of the content. Day 7 - Update
Boo, it seems EMI blocked the video due to music copyright infringement. Corporate greed by the music industry strikes again. It works if I am signed into YouTube but that may just be because I uploaded it.

Damn ................... I miss Spain.
I go in late spring or early autumn because of the weather. (Sometimes both). Lucky the weather wasn't to bad for you, it can be a nightmare still at this time of year.
