Is the bumper extension because your wife might be driving? hehe

Looks great!
No no, the wife won't be allowed near it. Unless its driving back from the pub under my close supervision.

The blue bits are actually a new Porsche option, 400 quid or thereabouts. Not sure what they do, or why I needed them, just had to have them just incase :-)

I feel sorry for all you chaps with useless wives, my wife loves her cars, loves Godwood and tolerates most race meetings as long as it's sunny and takes as much care with the cars as I do. Perhaps that's why I married her. wink

B'stards. Said it wasn't up to quality control standards when I ordered my car! A good colour IMO.

Worth a trip to a dealer to see a proper colour sample on metal if you are interested - subjective I know, but I didn't really like it when I saw it at Silverstone

When were you offered the driving experience if your car hasn't arrived yet, only asking 'cause I've had mine nearly a month and no invite yet?

Did it come from OPC or PUK?

If I were you I would ring silverstone experience centre and get them to see if your name is down and book on yourself as I waited for ages and then rang them only to find OPC had not put me down on the list. I wanted to drive the car before I got mine as the demo cars had not been released at that point and I didnt know what the car was like at all. There is no harm in being forward as if you wait for other people to do things you may be waiting a very long time.

Placed my order on a Sunday at the OPC, email invitation to the Driving Experience (with available dates) arrived a week later. Glossy flyer and letter a couple of days after that. Sent from Silverstone direct I believe

My car arrives late Dec - mid Jan depending on build slot and I will elect to go to Silverstone a few months after that - I'd like to live with the car for a bit and then go for the tuition / experience. Apparently you have a couple of years to book if you don't want to do it right away.

From the dealer but I got the code and organised it myself. I actually complained to the dealer because the sales guy said I could do the day and then afterwards finalise my spec and it had already gone to build. I'll be playing on that to get some freebies.

Yup, that's badly lit guards red. The other red is more of a ruby metallic.

Got my first ever Porsche this week, moved up from an MX5 and collected my new Boxster yesterday. I had a test drive on Monday and they had one in stock, not my ideal spec but I could have it now and not have to wait until next March. Loved the drive home, although the dealer suggested I keep it under 4k revs for 500 miles - that's ok by me.

Went for a 2.7 PDK with S wheels and upgraded stereo. Absolutely thrilled, I think I will really enjoy it, roll on the spring - and some dry days over the winter

You need to chase the dealer. They then get the experience centre to contact you direct.

And not a very good representation of Guard's Red either! It looks orange in some parts of that video
