Forgot the heated seats, wind deflector, prep for mobile.

Oh and 3rd year warranty...

It's for both ladies and men.

I am going for Red , Black wheels , will post full spec later.
One question , i have a July build for August delivery , dealer is telling me i need to finalise now , has everybody else specced this far in advance ?
It is a dealer car that they are changing the spec on , does that
make any differnece ?
Tks

Sounds like big spec

Maybe consider front parking sensors too?

I would pay £500 for ventilated seats in mine too, be certain before leaving them out of your spec.

Looks like a very big spec and lots of wonga, will be lovely! biggrin

A couple of your options I didn't go with, but everyone has different priorities (and different budgets) so just two suggestions to consider ...

If you care about the quality of the stereo consider paying £404 more to upgrade to BOSE. I spent ages listening to both systems in several cars and the Sound System is very soft and buzzy, the BOSE much crisper and better controlled, IMHO. You should be able to get a listen in a 981 now there are demo cars around. I took a USB stick with a few high quality mp3's on it and sat in a couple of cars and turned the stereo up loud. Made the decision very easy.

This was a definite for me, the demo car I drove didn't have them and I came very close to scraping the front in quite a short drive. It is not easy to tell where the front bumper is from the drivers seat. The confidence of front and rear sensors makes me a lot happier and the graphical display to show where objects are also helps. At £251 to add them both to rear only this seemed one of the better value options. It cost this much to repair the front bumper on my 987 when I scraped it only a week after taking delivery new, so I was always going to go for front and rear!

Seat Ventilation is £631. My friend tried to demo them to me in his 997 C4S Cab but to be honest I could barely tell they were on even on full. Only an issue if you are wearing shorts or thin trousers in a very hot climate, I would think. Perhaps we'll have a scorching summer and I'll regret not having them? Or then again ... I suspect there will be more call for the seat heating in the UK! frown

If they were free ...

Cheers,

Geoff

Thanks for the advice. I think I will add the front parking sensors if its not to late.I listened to the Bose next to the ungraded system and It wasn't a noticeable difference to me. I have opted for the sports exhaust so will spend time listening to the music from that more than the radio! I have also spent the extra £700 on the 18 position sports seats which I found to look and feel much better.I am hoping to factory collect but awaiting confirmation of the date. It may not me possible as the stealer tells me the factory closes mid July to end August. Is anyone else factory collecting? Oh by the way this is for the wife.Me still thinks its a girls car particularly when comparing it to my V12 Vantage.

Have you confirmation your car will be built in June? I have the same build month, still no confirmed build date. You have added Sports Exhaust which according the brochures is not available until July build at the earliest. If you say the factory close mid July to end of August that might see the build in early September with that option if it cant get one of the first Sports Exhausts. Also note that if it changes to July build its a new white.

Interested to hear what your dealer says as I am hanging off ordering sports exhaust in case it pushes the build to September - which OPC?

Bose is st. Well done for not choosing it.

V12 is epic, but the 981 can probably out handle the Aston on any road. smile

The main brochure says the earliest the PSE will be available is July but the pricing brochure says its June. Anyone got confirmation of PSE in a June build?

The brochure says available from 07/2012 at earliest, but it doesn't say build so this would be consistent with a June build. When I was spec'ing mine I'm sure it was marked 06/03/12 (us style) although I can't check this. My guess would be that if lucky and no delays June build and July delivery is possible.

I had July build slot for PSE but have just had confirmation from OPC that they have pushed it forward to a June build slot - not got a spec lockdown yet tho.

I have confirmation of June build and no mention of problem with sports exhaust. Just waiting for factory collection date. Car has been ordered through Stratstone Wilmslow.

Forgive me if this has already been covered but, the thing I would be very keen to spec if I was getting a 981 would be painted side intakes; the one I test drove had huge plastic intakes which looked a bit crap to my eye.... dealer said it was an option.
