Not quite that legendary - it was Rob Newall - don't know much about his history (though he's raced damn near everything as I recall), but he's quite a hand either way.

Hi All,

Well we went on the experience yesterday afternoon and all I can say is WOW. What great fun. Was very lucky as had Rob as the instructor who was superb.

I can't believe how well he had me driving round the track at the end. I was knackered when I'd finished as I was concentrating so much.

We went out in a 997.2 C4GTS and a new 911 C2S and the new car blew the old one out of the water. It is an absolute beast and handled easily as well as the C4 even though it was only 2 wheel drive. The amount of grip was phenomenal. I shan't be rushing out to buy one just yet but as soon as they come down in price on the second hand market I'll be all over them.

We did all the different areas in each car as well as a good few laps of the circuit. As we were at the end of the day we had the track to ourselves. Although did manage to overtake a Boxter and a Cayman which felt good after spending time catching them up!

If anyone is thinking of going then all I can say is do it!

Great news! smile

I've got a "911 Experience" booked for next month and I'm really looking forward to giving a 991 some stick ....
