it's a bloody iPhone for god sakes...if i'd exposed for the car then the sky would have been way too bright

I'm guessing you'd have a similar problem no matter what the equipment. You're starting to get a sillouette against the low sun.
I'll be out again later today when the roads and the beach are a little more quiet.

I'll be out again later today when the roads and the beach are a little more quiet. Massive difference in exposures in your scene. You need some nd grad filters or a camera with a tripod. With tripod you could take a picture of the car exposed correctly, a picture of the sky exposed correctly and then merge them in photoshop. With an I phone.....,.good luck!

250 fast and furious cross-country, top-down, miles today - down to Calshot to ride the VeloDrome as an extra for MTV's "Made".
This morning I started at 6.30am and there was nothing on the road :-)

Looks great m33ufo, ahhhh, the Spyder I would have bought before you if it had had a slightly different spec. Still sort of regret it, a lovely motor.

I was going to buy one, it was the most disapointing test drive of 2011. They look great though imo in the right colours. To pose in they are right up there and girls love them. Out of 50 cars I must have now owned I put the Spyder in the top 3.
