+1 on the brakes, if they're not as described above then there's something not quite right with them.
Oh no - hugely reassuring from first squeeze and they just get better as they get hotter .... I don't think they've ever been used in anger ..... biggrin

GT3s of any flavour are stunning! What hp is it?

TX.
415bhp - but I hear that the good ones knock out more like 430bhp ..... smile

Timeless! Congrats.

I'm enjoying mine. Just make sure you get the LSD replaced. All 997 GT3s come with a really weak one that's likely not working at its full potential. Only an aftermarket solution will get you the goods. Guard LSD is what I run.

Unfortunately, in the UK, that would probably stuff the warranty.

That looks like a fantastic car many congratulations on as excellent purchase !

I pick this up a week on Saturday

from 911 Virgin

I seem to recall on the other thread you posted that you'd tried "my" car ! - I've not even seen it yet as bought over the phone , we're going to Monaco in the morning for five days - think I'd rather drive down to 911 V and collect my new car - I really can't wait, it's going to be a long week !

Hope you enjoy yours this weekend

so they void the entire factory warranty? given this is either an '07 or '08, how much more coverage does it have left?

the factory diff IS very likely an open diff. not enjoyable at all.

Looks lovely. Buying privately and unseen? You're far braver than many on here! Assume you're getting it independently inspected as as good as an OPC warranty is, it doesn't cover everything. Good luck!

Congrats back - it is a really lovely car and yes I drove it about 10 days ago. It has a nicer (read lighter) clutch than the one I've bought, but otherwise feels identical; still tight! I would have bought "yours" if it wasn't for the seats which I don't fit into!! Really hope you enjoy .... biggrin

It's a late '07 and it's got a warranty until July 2014 ..... frown

Welcome to the club. Mine is similar spec actually.

If you want loud, look up the exhaust unplug mod.

Don't let the dreamers get to you with their "paid too much" or seats bullst. Cracking car, 2yrs warranty and looks in top condition, you will be smiling from ear to ear for years. I'm 2 years in, just renewed my warranty for another year and still love it to bits.

Enjoy. driving
+1 ..... Comfort spec, 15 months in, paid extra for OPC car with 2 year warranty, no claims on the warranty, regrets.... None!

Cracking motor, looks great, hopefully see you on a country lane soon!

7 year factory warranty? awesome!

i'd have the dealer check the preload on the lsd. it sucks to drive with an open lsd esp if you track it.

An 07 car can be warrantied in the UK (by Porsche) until it is 2017 when it is 10 years old or 100/125k miles (not sure which), whichever comes first.

Do you own a diff company or something? all your posts are related to a guards diff upgrade.

sorry about that. i'm just a client who happens to have been caught by surprise at how sh!tty the stock LSD is on the GT3s. i'm more pissed that porsche would outfit a car from their motorsport dept with utter crap. it took $2500 to make it right and there is a noticeable difference even on street corners. Guards, imho, is the best value/solution in the market today.

ignorance is bliss? not for me in this case. just trying to get the word out, but hey, if most gt3 owners drive like pu$$ies and can't tell, then that's all them.

Sorry - no more photos as I was driving it on Sunday when the sun was out and rain / work has gotten in the way since then!

However, I fully understand the (justified) excitement and wish you all the best for "collection day"! You'll love it as it's a cracking car / drive!
