Picked it up this afternoon, still getting used to it, only driven it steady in the wet, so far.
Loads of feed back through the steering though. Nice car

Take it on a track day...discover why 911s are the greatest.

Which model did you get...996?

I went for the C2 manual, purist choice.

Done a few more miles now and the poker really has grown on me, prefer it to the Tamora by a big margin

Lovely car.

Great colour, and the best wheels.

Get it lowered 30 mm on Techart Springs.

I had mine done (on my old 996 c2) by an OPC.

It transformed the car. And in the C2 withe the standard front spoiler, speed bumps are not a major problem,

..got before and after pics of mine...but I dont know how to upload pics onto the posts...

Yeah I'm thinking of lowering, but not sure I want to do a 30mm drop, thinking of the -10mm Porsche sport springs instead.

I like the ride as it is, but it's a bit floaty sometimes at speed.

Can you tell me more about the differences you noticed when OPC installed the H&R springs? How did the car improve?

it really didnt upset the road handling at all.
It made it sharper flatter, but not too bumpy or uncomfortable.
Higher speed driving became far more enjoyable.

Use the one that starts with [img], drop the img(both ends) bit and use instead and it should come up

Congratulations Bumcrack - she's a beaut! No need to tell you take it easy at first if you're coming from a Tamora - just remember that you've got a pendulum between your ass cheeks now.

yep, once you see the car lowered, it makes the standard height look awkward.

I think it should have been 30mm lower standard. The current setup is fine for town-tootling, but for fast road driving and occasional track days, its way too soft. Changing to lower stiffer springs (Techart)(i think they are 20-30 % uprated) kept the suppleness over bumpy roads, but reduced the body roll dramatically.

shame i dont have the c2 anymore..as I could have given you a demo on a track day.

I swapped it for a GT3 so I cant complain.
